Looks like native english speakers are bothered if some speaks a different language in general, even if it's nothing offensive

Has no one pointed out that OP does not understand that your battle server setting has nothing to do with your local chat and that your local is based on the system you are in within the greater New Eden universe, therefore it doesn't matter what language they speak as it is Tranquility.
Also OP, as Void Echo pointed out, people who dont speak your language can be c*nts especially online.

From my perspective the weak ones are those who think status quo is acceptable. To weak and afraid to address and issue and would prefer things stay the same, because that is the easy way.
