not only do I have to deal with TAR's and ScR's but I have to do it while I get 1 frame every other second
lag is bad enough as it is without having to deal with this map it get ridiculous very quickly
however I cant even believe that its the map as I only ever start to lag whenever I come across some scrub firing a semi auto weapon as if its full auto or if its someone that I imagine has a ping that's over 900 because even when I fire directly at them and unload a full clip with damge animation taking place and them reacting to it but they only take 20 damge at point blank range
anyway I shouldn't need to rant lets just get a petition going to get the darn map removed asap
Actually it is one of the smoothest running maps for me. Then again so was the MCC map.

maybe you're the problem.... it has already been confirmed that there are obvious problems with the map and it has even been removed from PC there is no reason for it to stick around
Some where in the crazy setup that has become my PS3 I solved the problem.
My current setup is:
Samsung 840 pro SSD PS3 Hardwired to a 5ghz 802.11 ac bridge connecting to a dual band router with throughput prioritization enabled. PS3 to AverTV HD DVR in a very beefy PC. PC to 4k tv set down to 1080p @ 120hz
If you want to spend about $6000 replicating everything so you to can have the ultimate gaming experience I would be very happy to share all specs.
Here is my monitor setup.

It got removed because it auto booted anyone that did not have an SSD. I had some of the most fun 4v4 matches on that map ever.

I just got out of another match in the lag facility I can conclude that no enemies makes for smooth performance which reinforces my main point that it is due in fact to certain players possibly with high ping that make everyone lag and certainly the map is in some way affected by these players, nothing is conclusive but I can say for sure that playing against some players makes me lag more then others
Yes, high ping times and poor upload has a serious effect on the people around them. I will not get into how but I have accidentally "lag switched" the game a few times. What I did is how people do it in PC and can not believe that CCP has built a game that functions in this way.

There was definitely a connection between SSDs and the issues on that map. Every time I got it I would talk to the people who managed to complete the match with me and only about 1 out of 50 did not have a SSD.
I think it may have also been partly due to deleting and reinstalling the game which is fairly common among SSD users who are trying their hardest to get a good experience but I never got those people together and did a survey to know for sure. I have to wonder if this is the same thing going on with the Gal Lag Facility.
EDIT:
If you have made the switch to a SSD I highly recommend you delete and reinstall Dust entirely along with rebuilding the database on your PS3. This weirdly increases performance specially if you installed to the SSD from a backup.

This weirdly increases performance specially if you installed to the SSD from a backup. You kinda have to install dust anyway when you switch out your HD for an SSD, in fact you even have to install the entire PS3 interface...... Which means errrythang is fresh and shinay. Dust has been running 800000000x's better since I got my SSD.
The most common method of switching to a SSD is to just use the system back up function.
You obviously installed from the PUP file which means you already have not only a fresh Dust install but a fresh database as well meaning you are on the most optimal setup.

It seems silly if you are just backing up the database with all it's current problems to begin with.
The way I see it, with normal and hybrid HDS you have the issue of fragmentation, where you don't with SSD so unless you do a defrag on the hds before backing up, you're bound to have issues with corrupt files.
Fragmentation is not an issue because the backup images compresses everything into a single full system image anyway which is then decompressed with the restore utility.
Obviously something happens in the database which causes the system run run less efficiently with Dust and possibly other games. This is quickly resolved with a rebuild.
The reason for a fresh install of Dust is because the update process leaves behind lots of extra data which at minimum slows read times.
So the same effect can be gotten without having to download all of your other games. The only thing that may make that not true is if the Sony OS also leaves remnants behind which may or may not be a very large issue considering the OS runs almost completely from ram at could easily only load what is needed.
Basically your desired method comes down to how much music, pictures, games, web downloads, and so on that you have which would make the restore function the optimal choice instead of spending days restoring all of that data manually.

In general you are one of the few people left having big problems.
When was the last time you deleted and reinstalled Dust?
When was the last time you rebuilt the database on your PS3?
How much other data do you have on your system?
How many chats do you keep open?
How many contacts do you have?
Do you restock often during battle?
What PS3 model do you have?
Do you ever clean the air intake and exhaust on your ps3?
I am just trying to say that maybe instead of yelling delete we should be trying to figure out what things those that do not have lag have in common as well as finding out what people that do lag have in common. It is obvious that that map takes up more resources or has a memory leak that is affecting performance more seriously for some.
