So.. after years of Dust, after being a Logi, a Scout, a Tanker, a Heavy and so on I finally convinced myself to max out the infamous Assault Dropship, the only thing that always fascinated me but I never fully got into, due to the current state of the ADS or more precisely the curremt state of Swarms I'm taking the task to master the ADS as a personal challenge but enough of this soap opera, the purpose of this thread is to ask the true aces for an advise, mainly on fitting but help with tactics and gameplay are also more than welcome. I'm particularly interesed in the Incubus, got previous experience with it on an alt and did I'd say decently, loosing 1 vechicle every 4-5 matches making just a minimal profit but at least not loosing isk
As for the best dropsuit for ADS amarr logi hands down so let's skip that part.
Thanks everybody for aiding me in my masochistic quest /O

Despite his bad reputation here, I highly recommend you watch Judge Rhadamanthus' Dropship Tutorial videos. The first is very rudimentary, but I often find myself reviewing even basic flying and working my way back up my techniques.
After that, the best thing you can do is keep flying. When I started, I followed this quote from the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy:
"There is an art to flying, or rather a knack. Its knack lies in learning to throw yourself at the ground and miss. ... Clearly, it is this second part, the missing, that presents the difficulties."
Keep flying, keep crashing, but most importantly, learn from every crash. No experience is wasted if you take something away from it. If you have any specific questions, feel free to PM me (but be sure to remind me who you are).
I'm considering starting a chat channel for aspiring pilots to help them out one-one-one, so keep an eye on these forums.

I'm familiar with Judge's videos, very useful stuff for new guys trying to fly DS. The chat channel is a nice idea, just make sure that people know about it, as you can see yourself the Rookie training grounds aren't exactly thriving with life, as to your advices I'll surely keep flying because as I said before I'm taking this as a personal challange
Thanks /O

If you need any fitting ideas feel free to mail me. About gameplay, once you learn how to fly and maneuver and how to properly shoot, rest will be easy. Things like flying away from swarms in correct time, timing etc. You know, all these little stuff.
Ps. I'd recommend shooting other dropships for some practise.
