Just last year Sony had removed PSN services for the PSP. Sony is still throwing indie games our way every couple of weeks although they're playable on PS4 and Vita. The PS3 still got 2-3 years until they drop full support.

MGS5 and Black Ops 3 are both being released soon with online multiplayer.
Then the sports games that make money. Madden , Fifa and 2k. These are yearly releases so meh. We have at least another year of service for these.

I played on the PlayStation 2 Star Wars Battlefront (Original one) servers online two years ago with some guy. Thats 7 years after PS3 was launched. Sony aint gonna stop us for a while.

Support of the PS3 will stop, and that means no more patchesfor the O/S, and no new hardware, but the existing machines will continue working on-line and "break-fix" support will still be available.
Polyphony the devs of Gran Turismo-Play Stations #1 all time title will be supporting their game until 2017 on the PS3. Maybe you should buy that simulator as it will keep your PS3 "ALIVE" but you'll need a pair of thumbs.

Actually its a little over 200, dust players that is, theres usually around 20k people on EVE and Dust, and theyre on the same server

Everyone I know from beta days betamax/SI/Delta Academy/Imps/NS as soon as they got PS4s they were gone from this game forever
