PSN support is gonna be here for a long time. With PSnow, digital sales and major developers still pushing product to the ps3 it would be bad business for Sony to hit the PS3 users service with a kthxbye.

Sony is dumping ps3 in 2016. No new games are planned. People always say servers will still be up this and that, but in truth it's still the death of the game (besides name the newest game for ps3 bet you can't name one releasing soon). But the fact is once new systems stop rolling the player base drops dramatically. Why? No New Players. Just last year Sony had removed PSN services for the PSP. Sony is still throwing indie games our way every couple of weeks although they're playable on PS4 and Vita. The PS3 still got 2-3 years until they drop full support.

MGS5 and Black Ops 3 are both being released soon with online multiplayer.
Then the sports games that make money. Madden , Fifa and 2k. These are yearly releases so meh. We have at least another year of service for these.

I played on the PlayStation 2 Star Wars Battlefront (Original one) servers online two years ago with some guy. Thats 7 years after PS3 was launched. Sony aint gonna stop us for a while.
