So we've seen the slightly buffed Aur suits like Firebrand that have more CPU and stuff, but I feel more could be done for company to gross profits and maintain balance.
SQ: Currently colored drop-suits like the Firebrand give you a slight boost (minor, not really much) in combat that creates unnecessary strife among community members, and damages (just go with me) somewhat the developer's known agenda of making a fair and balanced game while still making profit. This will be a subject throughout the years that will affect the community as a whole for good and bad, but there might be a way to solve this
Proposal!: Remove all Aur stat improved equipment. Then implement a skin slot in the dropsuits fitting system, and vehicles fitting system where the purchasing of different skins/designs like the Firebrand can be equipped to mask over their current suit for a different look. Different skins/suits must be within the same weight division (Heavy skins in Heavy suits, Light skins in light suits) for battlefield balance. You would still be delivering new suits for isk with improved stats, but also implementing other suit designs for skins or color variations to be purchased using Aur.
Advantages:
Ad1: Cost Effectiveness Currently designers, and artists have slaved away with making those Aur suits we have today within our market. The designs themselves are worth their costs for looks alone.
Ad2: Balance Over the course of time this has been a huge issue within communities of free-to-play games on what is fair and profitable for companies willing to make the jump. Introducing this new slot within the fitting system would keep profits away from creditability in the sense of arguments toward state improving items. I grant you people will still cry that they have to have certain color schemes or designs just because they look more like a badass, but you keep the hardcore kittens (YEAH YOU BETA TEST!) and the general population from ever questioning profit making and fairness in combat. Though you have to figure out things like Exp boosts on your own >.> (I got nothing for that idc)
Example of Pricing Firebrand Suit Skin - 5-10$ for each suit in each weight division Custom Tank skin - 5-15$? Discounts - 5$?
Negative 1: Cost of developing a skin system currently along with meeting deadlines, etc Counter: Though it would be time consuming and cost negative at first the end result would be a profitable scheme that over the course of time will make money. Even if you incorporate in the cost of artistic enslavement ( they work alot y,know) you see schemes like this become very profitable (League of Legends for example). Though I don't have alot of evidence to support this (1am post xD) I recommend you consider this ideal.
Forgive all spelling and grammar errors for it is late This just came up to the top of my hand while playing LoL (Gò»-¦Gûí-¦n+ëGò»n+¦ Gö+GöüGö+ mercy!
Any ideals how to improve this ideal or someone got a better ideal? What do you think? Any evidence to disown or support? Pretty much a league of legends rip off :P |
