They tried to be patient with you by corresponding with you by Facebook and Twitter but yet their progression was slow , the dumps you took on them were huge and now all of a sudden you want to play the defender of justice ?
Get real .
Most of you are adults like Rattati and most of you are soft and can't take constructive criticism , you get angry and want to insult those who speak common truths .
Hell a lot of people have it tough at their jobs but they can't talk to those who perpetrate these actions like a Dev can to us , we can't ignore those like a Dev can to us , we can't block or ban some from the place of business where we might be employed , like a Dev can do to us and we have to sit there and have our lively hoods on the line because anybody can just come in and complain about performance and the next thing you know , your out of a job .
...
I was raised to consider others feelings over my own and sacrifice my time and feelings to promote the greater good of those around me and whom I associate with but I just can't understand how some of you ride the OP for stating the obvious .
Who's fault is that , the OP's ?
Where was this when the previous Dev team was around?
It's good to learn from your mistakes but even better to not continue to make them once the lesson is learned .
This is a forum , everyone is not pleased with the situation at hand , the OP is not being insulting , just stating what some others might feel and believe already .
A lot of people are unhappy and have to deal with issues much greater then what the Dev team does and what they have to deal with , wouldn't even hold a candle to but again , I guess that's just too hard for some of you to believe .
Edit : A lot of players just left the game and took their numbers and revenue with them without saying a word , I guess that's better then trying to gain an understanding about what's going on as well as showing some concern .
Maybe the OP and many others who feel the same , should just do the same ... maybe that would help all parties . I edited your comment a bit because I wanted space to reply. I'm not trying to use your own words against you if that's what you may have assumed.
I digress.
Being a game developer is a difficult job. Many people think anything related to videogames is simple, easy and enjoyable. Though, while it may not be physically exhausting it's a mental drain. Many of these guys took multiple levels of calculus, and are still struggling to conceive solutions to issues that plague the game. A lot of what they do is custom, and it's not like other jobs. In other jobs you get told exactly what to do, and you are trained how to do those specific tasks. In game development you really have to be the ultimate authority in a lot of situations because there are many unique problems.
So yes a developer isn't a soldier risking his life, or a miner that is severely hurting their health, but there issues are similar in many ways to other jobs that involve mental prowess like an engineer, architect or scientist. If they mess us thry won't kill people, but there jobs are still on the line and certain personnel are very disposable in the gaming industry.
That said, many people had a great respect for the development team before Rattati's. I was among them, and many bitter vets of today are among them. There were trolls, but the population was substantially larger back then. Many of us became bitter because of Rogue's support of Legion. It really seemed like he was betting all his marbles on Legion and had left Dust almost idle. We eventually learned that a great score of the developers responsible for art assets (dropsuits, maps, sockets, weapons and vehicles) had been released from CCP and that many of them were mostly involved in Legion for the last months of their contracts. So, many of us felt betrayed because we had been saying how we should let the developers do there thing, and in reality they weren't trying as hard as we assumed.
Rattati is different because he was a player before he was the head developer. He has passion for the game, and it's more than just a job where all he cares about is punching out. Rattati is very involved with the community and takes our thoughts seriously enough to support ideas there were different than his original ones. That's why we support him, but it's not just that. He has much less assets than the developers before him, and yet he has brought us more content than they did near the end of their terms. I honestly feel like the upper echelon was just looking to give Dust 514 to any developers, and expected them to just let it die. I feel like when they asked who wanted the position Rattati was the first and only guy to be enthusiastic about it.
Dust 514 would have died long ago without him, and it bums me out when people criticize him for his lack of bug fixing or content without acknowledging all the asset constraints he deals with. Criticize him as much as you want, but just remember that he can't exactly spare the money or man power to tackle every issue as effectively as one would assume.
I praise the OP for bringing bugs and glitches to light, but he seems very snarky and it always seems like he is back handing the developers without acknowledging their side.
Put your flags up in the sky.
And wave them side to side.
Show the world where you're from.
Show the world we are one.
