I used that fit right there and I got hit with one swarm- I activated hardener - got hit by second swarm and died before the 2 second delay on hardener ended.
Always expect swarms, especially when just flying into the middle of the battlefield, throw on hardner as you get near infantry, shoot a little, when you start getting bombarded by swarms, activate afterburner and fly away. works every time.

I spend majority of nothing running. I never said I wait for cool down. (not practical to some people who do wait for it) nor run at the height of my cycle. I run when I know that two more volleys of swarms will take me out. Regardless, by that time I know exactly where the swarmers are and I just come right back down when my shield has recharged and take them out. Do I lose dropships? Of course, they are stupidly underpowered and explode when you look at them the wrong way; but then I usually only bring them out when people camp on rooftops or building structures for extra kills.
I'm not about that dual hardened life brah.

Cuz if you run dual hardener and don't wait for CD, you're going to die. A lot.
No my example had one armor plate, one hardner, a repair mod, and an afterburner o.O
