PC is the ultimate end game for a dust merc; matched up against a 16 strong corporation team wearing the best suits in the game and co-ordinating skilled attacks...competitive
but not with aim assist. I would be glad to have it removed, period. PC would be competitive

Aim assist is needed to play an fps with a controller, because otherwise a controller is not suited to fps games. Without aim assist the process of playing the game is just frustrating.
Aim assist in no way makes the game less competitive. There are plenty of more interesting ways to defeat your opponents than who can best struggle with poor controls, or in many instances who lands the most lucky shots.
Would you rather play chess or tiddlywinks? I'd rather play chess. |

Aim assist can be toned down if core hit detection issues are corrected. Hit detection problems necessitate AA for most people, not some mythical skill or lack thereof.
WoW has taught me that Purple means Legendary. This means Quafe suits are the optimal loadout for killing all of you.

Look at all these scrubs saying they need Aim Assists to keep up.
It wasn't always in this game, and i normally have mine turned off. It only gets harder to aim if you're always relying on something else to do it for you. |

I don't think they are "relying on Aim Assist": AA is needed since our connections does not allow perfect tracing of targets. it happened to anyone: a strafing opponent that microwarp left and right because of his or your connection. Aim assist simply allows you to relieve the problem (although it doesn't solve it at all). Other things to relieve the problem would be a more aggressive hit detection (ie "bigger" hitboxes, bullet magnetism, mixed client-server hit detection etc.) or a better lag compensation which also have their drawbacks. |

You have aim assist just as the enemy, fairs fair right. It helps you just as much as it helps the enemy, and in all honesty, the AA in this game is NOTHING like the AA in most other FPS. |

I used to be cool, running Turbo NK Scout.. now all the kids have them.. but they don't even use turbo knives..
- ScR - TacAR - CR .. pretty much anything semi auto is crazy OP with them..
And while your being turbo spammed, the guy with Turbo pad only has to worry about strafe, as he dances about shooting you faster than you can even consider countering it. Great.. wiggle stafe + turbo pad = Got Good
I love how progression in Dust has nothing to do with content in Dust

Skill into the above.. and the whole meaningless Skill Tree can be ignored.
