Dampening is key to scouting. That and speed. Particularly on a Minja. You will want to balance battle needs with your play style. If you can get away with less dampening, good, but understand that the inner rings are killer with knifing. Especially if you are chasing them from behind. It gives them more opportunity to pick you up and counter before you can attack. That was a long explanation to say that you need at least one max dampened fit to fall back on if you are getting scanned.

Myos are also good to have for mobility purposes.

CallMeNoName Kirkinen Risk Control Caldari State 5	Posted - 2015.08.17 10:05:00 - [1] - Quote Noob Scout here, I would appreciate some tips and tricks I have quite a bit of experience with Dust, but most of it was from playing as a Sentinel. It's not exactly easy for me to switch from Fat 1600hp Man to Spastic 190hp Skinny Man, and obviously, my combat style ends up killing me 60% of the time. The only thing I really feel good about this class right now is that ISK management is no longer a huge priority. So, I ask you guys, what are some good fittings and such, or how does certain equipment fit in with this scout thingy? To be honest, one of the biggest factors about scouting for me was the cloak, but now I'm starting to feel iffy about it. Also, I'm speccing into Minmatar, probably running Novas.
