I look at DUST like a multi-cellular eukaryotic viridiplantae kingdom. We all require sunlight to fuel our photosynthesis, yet when we are blessed with that sunlight, all we receive is manure. Our plantation itself is stunting our growth, how do you expect a flower to blossom if it is laid upon hardstone? Plantae need rich soil to engrove into, our ecosystem is in danger because of this hardstone that we have been planted on for so long; it is causing us harm.
We are like an ecosystem; just like the Plantae Kingdom, not the Animal Kingdom - despite our ferocious tendencies to shoot each other in the face, butt, and jimmies. We thrive together, whereas Animals can thrive by themselves or together. We are teamplayers, despite some of us lone wolves. We nurture each other, despite most of us being bitter. Squads, Corps, Alliances; our game, our ecosystem, is based on reliance.
Our nature is hardened, because of what happened. Our hope, is shriveled, because of what happened. Most of us are still bitter, because of what happened.
You can give us all the nutrients we need Rattata, you can shower us with your love and hope; but as long as we still stay on this smoldering rock, this outdated hardware, we are in constant harm. I am extremely grateful for what RatMan, Frame, and the team are doing; trying to keep this game from burning up. But please, please uproot us soon and carry us safely to the cool, refreshing, rich soil that we crave ever so much.
You can clearly see we beg for it, despite most of them being harsh in their words, instead of gentle. We can not survive much longer, our petals and stem will shrivel up amongst the rock soon enough. I wish to see us saved before that happens.

Whatever you do, do NOT plant mint openly. It spreads everywhere and takes over all the nutrients from the rest of the plants... Mint must be potted

Ok, this got off topic fast. To clear things up, if you did not understand my analogy, go back to school.
This is a porting thread. We need a port. It will breathe life into this shrinking plant. We need our sunlight bro, we need to get our groove on with the bodacious soil. We. Need. A. Port. And. A. New. Pot.

Vahzz - After reading some of your Taco and Bacon posts, I have to wonder if this thread was written by someone else or are you back on your meds?
Just kidding. I just used to find you and Rip going back and forth hilarious.
Summary of my rant below: I code and it is the coding community that has screwed ourselves out of universal platforms. The gaming community is feeling this because hardware and interface upgrades like PS3->PS4 should not stop backwards compatibility (Because it is Fing code that boils down to conditional statements).
(I think everyone knows a port is needed. Unfortunately no one wants to set a standard language as the base. Java is being questioned now due to so many different version issues and hacks. Since tools like .Net allow coding in so many different languages to be translated back into a singular code set you would think everyone could agree but some aholes need to be special and complain about the tool or refuse to use it. ...)

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.
Also, I believe it is universally accepted that Java blows monkey chunks and C++ is the superior language. Tbh, I haven't heard about .Net, so I shall do some checking when I am not on my phone. And peeps need to hike up their nickers and agree for the better.

Visual C++, I learned that back in college, but C# took over there. .Net is Visual Studio. It's the main development platform for C# and .Net in the industry.
The other languages that I see used more heavily every year is PHP, XML, and HTML\CSS tag manipulation.
Glad to hear you code too!
