Frontline forging still a thing :0

Moguns Ja'Xon The Knights Of NewEden 13	Posted - 2015.08.15 23:39:00 - [1] - Quote So i go into a pub match after work and got this dumb ass idea to try and use my dau 2a as a straight up any range infantry killer. personally I thought this idea was going to be very useless since for scones are meant to be long range AV weapons. so I get together a basic suit with the dau and go hunting everyone. 1st match went 5-4 481 points. Very good considering it was a proto stomp yet we won. 2nd match was awesome! I went 4-1 and killed two tanks 1000ish points. One was a basic gladius other was proto. Id have to say that its a pretty mean suit and you sentinels should try it ^.^ NOTE: To be able to even use this suit, you gotta have crazy forge gun aim. o7 and happy hunting! God of Amarr Sentinels

Who said it wasn't a thing? I thought it wasnt cause they removed blast radius from the basic variant of forges :( But ive noticed that my aim with forges is awesome so i thought that i should use assault variants at close range... and it worked. It's not entirely uncommon, just not very widely used because it's literally hit or miss and you're very exposed while charging. Like a sniper rifle that you can actually move around with, but can't score headshots and can't zoom. In fact, forge gun sniping is easier, at least to me. When you get better with a forge gun you'll find it easy to get even to 10+ kills. If you get in a squad and actually travel with people it's even easier to stay alive, but that can be said for nearly anyone. As a tip, when using the forge gun for mid-long range anti-infantry, use the right stick to aim in the general area, and then fine tune with the left stick. You'll get much more precise and far less jumpy aim and have the added benefit of moving in the first place so it's easier to not be counter sniped.

They don't tend to survive the impact.
