So I was just looking at the logistic role descriptions and mainly looked at the caldari one, since I had a choice to buy an lp apex today I was deciding between the assault and the logi, and went with the assault. well that isn't important, what is important is the logi role itself, all of the logi descriptions have two of three paragraphs that match each other, the third describes the race of the suit itself. so I have the two shared descriptions here.
1. The Logistics dropsuit is outfitted with the latest in integrated diagnostic technology, most of which revolves around maintaining the condition and efficiency of squad mates and their equipment. As such, a soldier equipped with this class of dropsuit becomes a force multiplier, greatly improving the overall effectiveness of the Unit.
2. When deployed, a soldier equipped with a Logistics suit fills a vital tactical role in small unit operations and full-scale warfare, providing both, medical and mechanical support.
If you take the time to read the racial logistic role descriptions, you will notice that some the descriptions mention 'farther range' aid, like the caldari description, I got that the caldari logi suit is supposed to have a type of AoE support directly from suit, limiting equipment, while the minmatar is obviously focused equipment but is meant to have a good scanner par the description.
Here's my idea - Implement a new equipment type, the "AoE" slot, taking slots where the H/L or equipment would be, providing Area of effect bonuses to all units within this radius, and these AoE slots can only be equipped on logistic suits. these slots would get specific bonuses from the logistic suit skill focused on what that faction usually focuses on anyways. these slots would take up some of the equipment bandwidth (Consider removing the 'equipment' part from that) the more the lagi helps out, the more passive points he gains, maybe lower the actual H/L slots to prevent killer logis (I see too many) Oh, these modules would affect friendlies but not the wearer, to prevent a type of exploit that might come out of this, note that this only an idea. feel free to discuss. |
