This has been bothering me quite a bit. The amount of progressive feminists are few in numbers but they cause a vicious headache. They have this "if you're not with us, you're against us" policy that really grinds my gears. The "check your privilege" thing also pisses me off viciously. So I ask you a question; What us your stance? I'm a Egalitarian leaning more to the side of MRA since I am concerned about the amount of abuse men get while feminists complain about first world problems and oppression. **** is a serious issue but they have diluted their actual debate points with so much useless bullshit that I genuinely see modern day feminism as a first world online terrorist organization.

My stance?
Feminists are annoying.
The very term itself is biased. Something like, IDK, 'Equalists' would be more suitable.
My old English teacher was one of those typical recently-divorced man-hating Lefty feminists. She used to spout nonsense about 'positive discrimination' and how, in order to bring women to the same status as men, men should have to suffer.
What a joke.
I think that the way 'feminism' is being forced down a lot of peoples' throats is causing an unintended backlash of creating a lot of misogynists who are sick of the whole feminazi thing.

That's the problem; in feminists mind, equality must be achieved through suffering. That is a horrible idea since it will create a bigger division rather than actually fixing and making it more equal. Peace can only be achieved through understanding, not suffering. And feminazis came up with the equality "creation"called Castration day. Look it up!!

Feminists are not as good as they think they are. At all. Definitely not as good as they used to be...
They're movement stopped being about true gender equality awhile back. Hard to say when. Now its about getting back at males. They would rather be the oppressors that males were in the past, rather than stop the very relatively small amounts of oppression that does still exist. It's no surprise to me that organizations like MRA have really grown recently.
It used to be a good thing, and they are largely the reason that women in the US were given the right to vote, and largely the reason that women have nearly equal rights in every respect in developed countries.
But they have overall become an extremist organization. No longer are they in pursuit of the greater good, but their own good instead.
They ignore facts. They spread lies. They play the victim, when they arent the victim anymore. They focus on their own minor plight, and emphasize it, all while ignoring the all to real plight in other places.
I wholly disagree whit what it has become.
This isn't to say that many of them aren't good, but those that are, are running with the wrong people. The good ones can see and acknowledged the bad one, I've seen this. Why they don't cut ties with them, and call themselves something else, I don't know.

The who subject makes me uncomfortable. I hate arguing over whether people are or are not being treated fairly..... the world is fundamentally unfair get the **** over it. That being said I cannot deny some of the argument close friends who I would identify as the much more reasonable and practical group of feminists because yeah we are in an age of cultural transition from primarily male dominance into relative equality.
That being said it's a process dammit. You don't see massive cultural and ideological sweeps instantly take root in societies who have been operating upon the assumption that these things were ethical and moral in the span of weeks or months. The process will take years for it to sink into peoples minds.
Perhaps in one or two generations the concept of gender inequality will cease to exist entirely....but screaming about it over the internet furthers no goals and only serves to polarise the most vocal amongst the groups staunchly rooting them in blind ideology.

I don't think Feminists are bad, just that the group includes some bad apples, and those bad apples usually get the most attention unfortunately, and it's not only Feminists who get this treatment, other groups are getting flak based on the actions of a few bad apples, most recently the BLM movement.
These groups can be beneficial if the general attitude towards them changes, we need to shift the focus to those who are actually active within them, who can actually bring something to the table other than their misguided opinions, and who understand that these groups are there to achieve equality and nothing more.
I'll just continue to ignore the 'Extremists' like I've always tried to do.
