FW can be a lot better that what it is now. Here's something that I think would spice it up quite a bit.
WEEKLY / MONTHLY Special FW battles.
Would appear in Special Contracts.
LORE
Open to ideas with this. The idea is that fighting over a specific district, several districts, or entire planet becomes particularly intense for a period of time. The factions involved must bring in their best units to take a very important district or planet. The winning factions rewards the mercenaries heavily who are able to win the battle.
These battles would be for Loyalists, and would require rank 5 in a specific faction to participate.
How it would work:
Once per week a special faction contract would open. Loyalists would be able to sign up to fight for their respective faction. Weekly FW contracts would open for several hours, pitting the most loyal FW players against each other. During these several hours, there would be a log of which factions wins the most battles.
Which ever faction earned the most victories in the time period wins a decisive victory . A decisive victory would mean more than one district changes hands, perhaps an entire planet.
Winners of these special conquests get a bundle of badass goodies such as: LP, Faction Gear, standing, ISK, Officer weapons, Keys etc.
The faction who loses, however
I feel this would break a bit of the monotony of the endless back-and-forth skirmishes that FW currently is. It would also increase roleplay, and make FW more interesting. Also, a chance to reward true loyalists.

I'd love to toss ideas around. My EVE knowledge is limited to the 30 day trial however...
But not that that would be an issue. I'm sure we would do just fine tweaking and applying the same sci-fi cliches every other Sci fi franchise uses to New Eden :P

It's a fine line, you want something like this to be exclusive, but you still want enough players to have matches.
Open to debate, but I feel 5 is a sufficient cap. We could also incur a large standing hit from the race you are fighting. Meaning you'd only want to play this mode if you were truly loyal, as you'd basically be burning your bridge very quickly with the other race.
