This isnt a rage thread, but I do need to know (and I dont think im the only one) when a build will be available to test that doesnt cause unending hard freezes. I bought a PS3 just for this game, I could give a poop less about anything else on the console (though Batman Series has been proving a bit funner from a couch then a chair.). I spent $299 for this system in december when I say MPT announced and use it only for Netflix until a month ago when I got accepted. The repair guy that fixed the problem with my console said that it was the constant on/off that has caused this issue.
Im not angrey at CCP, its a beta after all, I dont want money back ect, I just want a a date that this issue may go away so I need not spend another $60, thats all. Will this be as much an issue in the build on 29 June? |

Most of the freeze issues should be fixed next build.
The likelihood that the freezes broke your PS3 is pretty remote, unless you were unplugging it while it was on. PS3 will always attempt a 'safe shutoff' when you hit the button. Unless you hold the button it down for like 15 seconds, which forces a hard restart, which is mostly the same as yanking out the power cord.

This "Hard Reset" you mention sounds familair from what he said, and thanks for the advice on how to manage it better.

Yeah, so far I only needed to press the button once without needing to hold at all for it to do a not-so-hard restart. |

Try living in an area with frequent power outages!  No matter what game I am playing I always cross my fingers when the HDD indicator starts flashing. |

I was supposing that, like a PC with a similar "hard freeze", you needed to hold the button until it cycled off ... so perhaps my bad. |

an old trick we used in mag was to hit eject. a lot of times that would break the freeze and send you back to the XMB.
of course you gotta have a disk in there for that to work. even if it's just some dvd, or a music cd. |

guys the search function on the forums is a great tool, they already said when they will be releasing the next build. so many worthless topics, they devs are not going to jump on and tell you info that is already out there every single time a new topic comes up.
a thread on this subject mentions that the next build will have fix's related freezes. |
