HAV's are often in a bad place and dispute about them are pretty damn boring at this stage, the current balance of use a Madrugar or stay in the redline with a Gunnlogi is pretty crap and takes away any enjoyment of a HAV v HAV encounter as the outcome is decided by - who's in the better Maddy fit - who has a cover from AV, with this balance, CCP are literally driving players away from the vehicle content which is one of the better aspects of the game and always will be (I hope)
So, we don't need paragraphs outling whats wrong, what you should fix, bla, bla, bla.. there has been 1000 post already
Onto the fix.
Armour is the greater danger in HAV battles, in one quick change, balance can be flipped over to change that via altering the current Large Turrets, making the Blaster a projectile weapon (HMG) and styling it a Matar Turret... Instantly.. the most common turret, now becomes a counter to the most common HAV, while the Gunnlogi would have some chance in close as a Blaster would not tear it up in 10 seconds anymore as the Shields would better resist projectiles
No altering HAV stats.. no buffs/nerfs to modules, and the fearsome Madrugar could find it's worst enemy
INB4 b-b-b-but it's Gallente.. be quiet and move over for the MINMATARDS!!!
I will post how Large Turret can be completed for balance and variation, hopefully some of you have the sense to see it
- Large MG Turret = Full auto projectile ammo functioning similar to what the current Large Blaster does - Large SCR Turret = Full auto laser ammo (tbh I'm so scared of the thoughts of this, I have nothing else to add)
^ what better gift for repainted AM/MN hulls that AI turrets for both of these factions.
- Large Rail Turret = Eat Sh!t and die you camping scrub!!! (I mean this can stay as it is) - Large Missile Turret = Have fun reloading while I wreck you (seems fair enough) - Large anti-frog QQ Turret = To replace the Gal Turret, have an Ion Cannon that fires PLC rounds ^ basically the Gallente's version of a LRT, which would have some great Cal v Gal HAV fights.
So with this proposal, Amarr and Matar come out as the CQC tanks while the regen focused Cal/Gal are handed weapons suited for range combat, and maybe... just maybe.. you'd hand tankers a reason to stand by their vehicles.

This takes nothing new, just tweaks to the toys you have to play with.. do it !!! DO IT NNAAAOOO !!!! - You posted before about working on Heavy PLC+ScR, why not weld them onto a HAV
