Even jokingly I don't really care to listen to whiny off topic self-aggrandizing crap. It's pitiful "woe is me, we have it soooooooo bad" negativity that offers no solutions. I don't subscribe to "bittervet" junk and I don't really care to listen to it, especially from would-be community representatives.
Honestly, I expect better from kirk being as he's running for cpm. And yes I can get away with this commentary because I represent no one but myself.

I'm just pointing out how ridiculous the "well you don't have to play it" excuse is for legitimate problems. An ad hominem would be to just insult you, or accuse you of some personal failing. I did use you as an example, but as a way to display a hypothetical to showcase the error in your thinking.
I never did say you aspired to be a dev, only that I'm glad you aren't.
On the subject of Kirk, that lag joke was far from "self-aggrandizing" since no part about it stated or was meat to imply anything positive about the teller of the joke, and in fact the comment made no reference to its teller.
There is nothing wrong with anyone, including a potential CPM, making a joke about lag. It isn't a joke that hurts anyone (unless you're a human personification of lag). It's not bitterness to recognize issues exist. What is actually wrong is people completely going cray-cray over harmless jokes about a flaw.
