DUST is just that boring, you either get redlined, redline someone else or spend the whole game trying to get into a building but can't because of the OBSCENE amount of people spamming core locus grenades who couldn't give a crap about what they're doing to the game.
And it's the same no-life basement dwellers game after game after game. Of course we're still in the middle of a rage-quitting epidemic.
And what about getting stuck on terrain when you're on a flat surface? I just love not being able to move and losing a proto suit to that crap.
Why aren't core locus grenades being looked at? No admission by the developer of how over-powered they are? But hey here's move stuff to spend real money on whilst we ignore the thousands of problems in this game. |

The only thing worse than being redlined is redlining another team.
The redline was always a terrible lazy mechanic that CCP has never had the ability or courage to address, and now it's just a staple of the game. Redline matches are the worst matches in any FPS I've ever played, and I went through the whole Halo 2 modding war debacle that lasted nearly 2 years.
Having people blatantly cheat and alter the structure of the game to win was significantly more entertaining then sitting in or next to the redline all game.

The game itself? Yea, I've left that a LOOOOONNNGGGG time ago. Every couple of months I grab a match or two to test a new patch or because I'm waaay too drunk, but otherwise, I don't play this game.

Having people blatantly cheat and alter the structure of the game to win was significantly more entertaining then sitting in or next to the redline all game. Well, it's either having a small seemingly safe area or be spawn camped. There are a lot of alternatives that have been discussed in length over the year, many of which would work great independently or in conjunction with others. I've long since worn out my caring organ though, that poor thing just withered away and vanished.
Redline is here to stay, I accepted that long ago, despite what a terrible, lazy, unexciting and unbalanced mechanic that it is, that brings nothing positive to the game and only serves to encourage playstyles that are frustrating at best and disruptive to game balance at worst

Oh so you're one of those people on my team who leave me??! I have to do 5v16 because of you! If you're going to leave atleast write a message to everyone on the team telling us to leave... I will not leave a soldier behind and if that means playing with the 4 other blueberries that seem to not know how to leave or play then so be it! All of us go or none of us! Unless the ones who started in the redline and stayed there, then they can go **** themselves

the most annoying thing is that you scrubs leave battles that can easily be won but instead you choose to leave if there is 2 or 3 less people on your team further adding to the issue rather then staying in battle and trying to fight
I only leave battles in which my team is so incompetent that they decide to stand around trying to kill each other or when its clearly a redline match
I have stayed in matches even if redline or numbers were against us if I at least saw half of the team fighting
many matches can easily be carried by 2 or 3 people because there 9/16 matches usually consist of some decent players on the low side and mostly scrubs on the enemy side
earlier today I along with two other randoms from the same corp carried 6 other blues, the problem with my team was that I was the only one that bothered to carry link and AV due to the presence of Dropships
doing that allowed the two randoms from the same corp to alone with almost no help from our blues to keep the red away from the objective which they had gotten to first, I focused on hacking cru's so that the enemy could not get a foothold and push us back along with taking care of uplinks and vehicals
at the end of the match the randoms had over 30 kills each while I had 18 kills and the rest of our team together had no more then 15 kills total
the first two on the board were the randoms with 3k wp each I had 1.8k but I highly doubt without my links they would have had any success, everyone else on my team had less then 800wp and the enemy side didnt even go over 1.2k wp all of them were mostly below 1k but had better scores then out blues but still we managed to win by a fair amount
