Recently I've been greatly enjoying getting back into Dust for some reason unbeknownst to me while at the same time messing around in War Thunder Ground Forces with the Heavy Tanks and Tank Destroyers.
The latter are what inspired me to once more take up the Particle Cannon and really get involved in demolishing the maps and preventing enemy tanks from having a real place on the map. However I'm not really convinced I am doing it correctly and am looking for advice on what the more competitive fits for these Tank Destroyer fits are.
The other day I managed to steal a Gv.0 from another HAV pilot who used a fit, that I use now, which looks like the following.
Gv.0
3x Complex Railgun Damage Modules
1x Complex 120mm Armour Plate 1x Complex Armour Hardener 1x Complex Heavy Armour Repairer and what I assume was a 1x Complex CPU Enhancer
I have refined this into
Gv.0
3x Standard Railgun Damage Modules
1x Advanced 120mm Armour Plate 2x Complex Armour Hardeners 1x Complex Heavy Armour Repairer
The second fit is fit with lower meta modules mainly because I have not heavily invested in Large Railgun Fitting Proficiency yet . This fit has had some success in running of Blaster HAV and even seeing off Xt-201 Missile fit Madrugars though it feels like an overly cumbersome HAV considering the number of Blaster and Missile Fit HAV I've seen running Nitrous Modules.
Suggestion to refine this fit would help immensely.
Additionally any Caldari Cv.0 Tank Destroyer Fits and MBT Fits would be appreciated since I want to move back into Shield HAV Operation.
PS: I'm still really pissed off that firing the Railgun does not yield an AoE kinetic blast wave.

That's not quite what I have found in the few days I have been deploying them however I do welcome insight into what is pushing it's way into the stop as top dog.

Adv madrugar
1x particle cannon 2x complex damage mods 1x complex heat sink
1x adv heavy extender 1x complex hardener 1x complex heavy repairer 1x complex pg ( not sure on this one as im not on dust atm)
I only pull out this big boy when i need to get rid of some annoying proto maddies and me believe i kill 95% of them.
Goodluck.
Perfect. I figured that two Complex Damage Modules out provide more damage out put and a Sink would bump up my number of consecutive shots. So I am assuming while running these kinds of Destroyers you are sacrificing utility for sheer damage output and that because of this I need to be keeping myself on the edges of combat so I don't get blind sided up close.

To be fair, you are an expert tanker. You know exactly what to do when a situation arises. So this masochistic fit, although situational, can be decent in the hands of someone who knows better. As I said, this tank is pretty situational, my ahmg can tear a hole in it.
I've not be scared of AHMG's since the day they released and people were driving around with 3 in LAV's with AV grenades.

That fit has been battle tested and can face the worst of the worst, destroy any tank and hold vehicle superiority. It's no longer a TD if it has a heat sink. Tank destroyers are extremely inconsistent: every country had their own unique idea of how to make one. However, they all have one similarity: their RoF sucks. Some may seem fast if you're used to using tank destroyers (like I am), but the "fast" ones are still pretty damn slow next to a tank.
I mean I'm all for the RPing of something but if the Heat Sink makes it a more competitive fit I'm going to go with that.

PC players for one. They're notoriously good as squeezing out efficiency. More importantly understanding the fittings of the competition is half the battle.
How long they can be active on the field, playing those fits to understand their behaviour, etc.
