Why are no shows a problem? They don't show you take their district, and if it is a defense, well its part and parcel of holding territory.

That's supposedly why we have CPM's though. Who made decided that rule ? The Devs themselves ? If it's for fixing a feature in the game you should be all for it then.
Because back in the day, devs were allowed to join blocks and one(or more, not sure) of them seeded high value items for his own alliance.

I liked my idea that if you don't show then 10% of your corp earnings for 24 hours go to the corp you no showed against
Yes, wasting a PC land holders time is funny.
It is the exact point of weaponized boredom.
If I were an opposing corp, seeing how frothy you get over it, I would be sending empty attacks everyday until your people stopped logging in for fights.
