The better your dust 514 experience will be. Went down to Dominican Republic to visit some family members, used their dial up speed wifi, and all I have to say is that it literally was a hassle for anything to kill me, virtually no lag, except the usual lag at the gallente research facility. Yet running about 30 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload here in Florda I die within .1 seconds to anything. Does this game have some sort of lag compensation going on or what? I have no clue about networking and such, enlighten me. |

Yes. The slow connections have to drop frames and catch up therefore you will see those players moving fast, not where they actually are and dmg and graphics are delayed. Hit detection sucks.
From rime to time I'm the one moving faster and you can tell by how the other players are shooting where you used to be a second ago. Usually, I'm the one seeing super speed players.

If this be accurate: this goes a long way towards explaining why the south american corporations are so effective.
It's hard to beat up hundreds of armor piercing bullets using only your face...

yes it does. yet some "elite" players really think they're amazing at dodging bullets whereas on my screen they're teleporting on my screen and I can't hit them.
One laggy POS that comes to mind is fusion commander, he can be running in a straight line against a wall, you can be shooting at him straight and he takes no damage.
cavani was another very laggy strafer whose shields were hard to take down DUE TO POOR HIT DETECTION.

My Internet debit has been fluctuating massively lately and the days I get good flow the game runs smooth, all in check. But, the days I am getting as low as 2,3 mbs or even 600kbs, for starters I cnt vc n its rare to happen, but in addition I get delayed spawn time n I smtimes teleporte after I spawn but after tht its all good, tho once I get in 1v1 with other players I notice the lag being them shooting someplace I had veen a second or a split second ago n my bullet guage drops r delayed meaning id have to shoot for almost .7 secs before my character actual starts discharching or the game to actual record m shooting up to live-time. Its not terrible if u get trained to it, but the point being if ur lagging just a Lil ull be grabted advantage on the battlefield, if ur laggeing a lot it becoms a drawback. Cause the hitbox and the hit marker would be extremely messed up from emptying a clip into a guy n him not dying to getting afterlife kills once u die. Plz do smth bout this |

It does seem fishy how certain players, players that are on top of the leaderboard, tend to take no damage but give out tons...
Something iGÇÿve noticed. When fighting LHughes that seems to be the case.
DonGÇÿt know if anyone experiences that too. |

I 'notice' this but typically blame it on my own excessive paranoia.

By the time the laggy player sends the hit information to the server, and from there to you, he has already dealt a considerable amount of damage.
That's why it feels like they deal more damage faster, it's because you have less time to react from the moment you were notified of being hit.
