We can stop people from leaving matches. I know plenty of games that punish people for leaving the match, and it works. People stay and play it out even if they're losing miserably. Granted, these games also have rather larger playerbases than Dust...
I would like a Gallente SMG.

I thought the whole point of games was to have fun in our spare time? If I'm not having fun in a game I'll leave, are we at school here? Is that what this is, we have to stay until the bell rings? You would propose that? Most people's idea of fun isn't a one-sided stomp due to the fact that half the team left in fear when they saw who was in the opposing team. Most people have fun when they're in a fair match. If you leave the game you are potentially ruining the fun for the other people on your team. Did you notice how they call matches in this game "Contracts"? You can't just back out from a contract you've signed without keeping your side of the contract. A contract is enforceable by law. If you've committed to joining a match, you should be obliged to see it through, just like everyone else in that match should. In order to preserve the fun aspect for everyone there. It's not just about you. There are 31 other people in the match.

Oh. My. God. Go outside. Dust is not life, it is a crappy lobby shooter. Man I was just describing what the word contract actually means. You know, in the real world. Outside. And how that differs from what are called "contracts" in Dust, which are actually as you put it yourself, more like crappy lobbies.
