I think I know something that might decrease lag.
Amazing how much is in the game that we can't access because of the redline. Which must be why they don't just get rid of the redline.
So... anyone else interested by this? (It was a glitch I experienced in a match a few minutes ago.) EDIT: Falling off the map crashes the system. This post was written as it happened, so all is accurate.
Just... Why is there so much out there that we can not see? Wouldn't it help lag to at least reduce the map size?

Back in the day you could zoom out in your map about 10X farther than you can now.
You could see multiple maps from today all rolled into a super map.
Clearly there were some ambitious plans for this IE: Gigantic M.A.G. sized battles. Perhaps one day we will live to see that plan come true.

Someone was explaining this to me the other day. If I remeber right, its called a mega map and all of our battle maps are built on it. So even though we are playing in a small section of it, the game still draws it all, even when inside a building. Devs know about it and are looking in to it. That was what I was told atleast.

This is what really troubles me here.. It took me about 20 minutes to do this.
I noticed a little bump and the ticks on the MCC updated, but nothing else. They won with only 1/4th of their ticks gone.

The original design was to eventually have the entire map opened up to the players for really long, really hard-fought 'Conquest' matches that had multiple outposts and sockets spread out over their entirety.
Point in case
Because we only ever had 16v16, they had to limit the map sizes down to what they are today, but the maps were always designed for the potential to grow larger.
