A multi-punch glitch allows you to fire 3 punches or so within a second. Myos boost attack to 400..... hits x 3 = 1200 etc.
Either punching is going to have an enforced cooldown soon, or the damage mods are going to get a huge slap. Nova Knives should be the default close combat, while melee should be a cleanup, if a small portion is left.

That's incredibly rude.
Amarr Assault with x3 Complex Myros does [563.76] damage per melee, which you said he hit you twice which means he did [1127.52].
As others have mentioned, it accumulates the damage that person did over your life-time, so it is very very very possible he had shot you previously and you recovered from it and you either failed to mention that fact or simply forgot.

anyway, think about it ... am heavy 1500ish hp. no reps. even if he shot me a bit before he got close enuff to melee, 2k dmg seems ridculous.

Or you just got duped by one of the many glitches in Dust. Considering I've seen basic locus grenades do over 800 damage, it wouldn't surprise me if the game registered the damage wrong. I doubt there's a glitch that multiplies the damage to levels like that though... although... any commando at this point with three Myofibrils on can dish out 1230 damage per swing.

There is something wrong with it. Pretty sure this is a gun game. Not Mike Tysons Punch out. Having guys jump a 30 meter gap in the same time you can fire 3 rounds to OHK you is not a trade off. At the same time they often pack MDs and bolt pistols. So, there is not a lot of counter play there. At the highest sensitivity you cant train reticle as fast as they jump. What's worse is as a minmando you aren't giving up any EHP. They don't stack shields in those slots anyway and the myos are damage mods so you are stacking them.
So your "it's a trade off" argument is really just BS. Its not and the myos need to be fixed. This is not HALO its a tactical SHOOTER. So, melee should not be a OHK and then watch the guy jump away to safety. |

Used to exist a while back, caused an awful lot of rage as well. I'm almost certain CCP fixed it though, unless anybody has proof stating otherwise.

if it was a commando i would have accepted it. i'm assuming there is somekind of double punch trick that the douche community doesnt want to share.

Was he shooting you before and you repped back up to full health?
There's always the chance that he had a bunch of spare sprint/melee red bottles CCP gave away a while back and was stacking 5 of them in the lows (they only increase your melee power by as much as a standard mod and stacking penalties do apply to them so maybe not)

There is dmg multiplayer bug, randomly happening (from x2 to x10). If you got almost instakilled by anything, watch how much dmg was dealt on death screen. Take a screenshot & submit a ticket if you think something went way wrong & you will be reimbursed (if you wish).
Any rifle doing more than 2k dmg (i received up to 4-5k dmg instantly) or FG blowing tanks with single shot ( 10-12k dmg) & etc. It happens quite a lot, ppl just don't pay attention, don't care & burst spawn to shoot more.

The axels under the tank chasis have an enhanced damage zone. The zone is so damage prone that regular guns can get about 80% when pointing at it, but the spots are small, and only open when the tank has its treads tilted over a rock or something. If you hit that with a forge.... ewwww I can imagine it would ignite right away.

Lets say Proto Breach FG + 15% dmg with dmg mods & warbarge + 10% on armor profile bonus, that roughly 3k dmg, double that for axels on tank + extra = 6-7k dmg approximately. It should not exceed 7k dmg, but it does over 10-12k dmg, which is not possible with all bonuses + weak spot.
Rifles headshots can do below 2k dmg on average assault suit, but it goes beyond 4k dmg.
There is clearly some bug or something involved with skills, dmg mods & warbarge dmg bonus overlapping total dmg multiplayer, and it happens very often.

Yes while the Minmando has decent ehp for a OHK melee, the commando has the highest profile signature (i must also fit biotic in lows to get best best stamina pool out of melee fit). You can see me coming in CQC so learn to deal with me.The melee buff gives the suit a best in class tactical role as brawler. There are many situations were a glowing suit speced for melee encounters is not going to work best.

I like myos, lets me Go street fighter on a *****. And if you aren't allowed to punch a hole through a scrubs suit, then whats the point of melee? Besides the hit detection for melees are laughable.. As for the jumping, I guess people don't like to aim slightly up? Once got a jumper short range with a sniper rifle.(Aim not at them while they are jumping, but as they come down unload hell)
