I'm noticing that most of the bug fixes are ninja'd into the game more often.

Worse, there is absolutely nothing that brings us closer to New Eden. I don't recognize this game anymore.
I suppose that's why i can feel it's hold on me slipping away.
The problem with trying to achieve a better connection with Eve Online is that it WILL involve Eve-side Devs to devote a lot of time and resources to do so. Time and resources that are currently taken up by other things like Sovereignty Warfare, ship/drone re-balancing, ship remodeling, introduction of the Tier 3 Destroyers, Drifters, UI updates, etc. It's not like they happen to have one team on standby doing nothing at the moment.
Meanwhile, I'm not even sure if CCP Rattati has enough influence to convince CCP to devote some of that time and resource to expand on that connection. Even if he somehow succeeds in convincing them, how much time will that take? Months? Maybe a whole year? By the time the connection has expanded, will anyone even care about it?

I believe achievements 1.0 is the "life time missions". Things like reach 1000 kills, earn 1 million WP, and so on. Basically stuff that gives long term goals in Dust. Ratatti showed a small amount of interest before in having daily missions that continuously refreshed with each set getting more difficult so I very much hope that is what Daily Missions 2.0 is. Only time will tell but nice catch OP. I try to go refresh that page once a week in hopes of catching a change but it quickly gets forgotten.
Overall, it feels like we are much closer to being like New Eden than ever before.
Trade has been implemented and heavily expanded on over time, the Progression page having some kind of similarity to the Interbus Ship Identification System (ISIS) in Eve Online to help new players understand the dropsuits, the CPM elections, and now manufacturing (aka simple crafting) is on the way.
