How does operating a Gv.0 imply a player is a fake tanker? It's the only armour option available and before you spout some anti-armour-pro-shield-supremacist bullshit you have to remember that the Madrugar now is unbalance in exactly the same way the Gunnlogi was last HAV iteration.
Too much in the way of resistances and too much reliance on prolific passive repairs.

Too much in the way of resistances and too much reliance on prolific passive repairs. they are fake tankers becuase of how absolute terrible they are. the Gv.0 doesnt hold enough of an advantage over its ADV frame to justify its cost. all these new wannabe tankers running around thinking they are invincible is downright hilarious.
Meh...... but if you were a tanker in the old days, which I know you were, you must remember what even small individual percentage differences could achieve in terms of HAV combat. Tank battles were won and lost on that 2-3% difference in hardener resistances, few additional armour repaired per cycle, additional DPS from your blaster turret.
In this meta I suppose it really just comes down to being able to shorten your cool down cycles by picking higher tier modules afforded by the additional PG and CPU allocations.
Depending on the circumstances of the battle you are deployed to I see no reason to reduce the combat effectiveness of the vehicle by scrimping ISK. That being said I'm still not convinced Tanks are being done quite right at present time. The only differences I notice between my ADV and PRO tanks is that since I deploy the ADV and Standard more often I tend to form the erroneous perception that I am doing better in those tiers, also that I am less aggressive in PRO tier vehicles due to their cost and thus less likely to confidently capitalise on what should be advantageous circumstances.
