as a pilot I prefer the incubus with missile launchers so both the skills Caldari Assault Dropship and Gallente Assault Dropship are useless to me. could you rebalance these skills?
personally I think swarms are OP vs ADS because as judge rhadamanthus explained is trivial for swarms to engage DS but nearly impossible for ADS to fight back. Unless it's one militia swarm on the edge of the map. so I would use the opportunity to buff ADS survivability.
my first ideas are, per level: Assault Dropship: 2% dmg, 2% ROF, 5% ammo for all small turrets Caldari ADS: passive 5% explosive dmg resist to shields Gallente ADS: 5% reduction in armor plate speed penalty and fitting costs |

Gall ADS gets 1 too many bonuse, 5% reduction to speed, rather it have 4% to Gall ADS speed (I don't fly ADS) 5% reduction to armor penalty and fitting costs would make G ADS a juggernaut Gunship, unkillable, the resistance for C ADS would add better balancing, overall minus the discrepancies, +1.
EDIT: Also the other ideas are good too, the DMG, ROF, and ammo general skills I mean.

I feel for dropship pilots; their craft are expensive and fragile. That said, my Scout loadouts get one-shot by ADS-based cycled missile launchers on a fairly frequent basis; in those instances, it is actually (not nearly ... actually) impossible for me to fight back.
My response is to respawn and try my luck or respawn as AV and try to push the bird away for my friendlies. There's nothing trivial about taking a unit (or multiple units) out of play just so your side repel a vehicle to temporarily clear a very small portion of airspace. And there's nothing trivial about reducing the combat capabilities of a unit (or multiple units) for an indeterminate amount of time.
ADS Pilots don't have it easy, but there's a good reason why they're so frequently observed in competitive matches.
