Why must you have core locus to kill people?
Militia BPO grenades only have one instead of 2
Standard only does like 200 damage
And advance only does 400 which is just enough to OHK a scout.
Buff lower tier grenades!!!

That what I always say. People want to nerf the core but you shouldn't. It's the ONLY effective grenade. The standard and advanced ones need a buff. The basic does 300, it should do 400. The advanced does 400, it should do 500. The core should remain the same with 600 damage.

You are acting like explosives don't destroy armor.
Also I don't believe that every grenade should be a one shot kill because then there isn't a reason to have higher tier grenades and it turns into a win button. It's similar to why a Militia Sniper Rifle can't kill any suit with a head shot and why militia Nova Knives can't carve through every suit in one strike.
Also when most advanced suits are running around with between 6-700 HP taking away 600 of that leaves you on the brink of death and completely destroys militia and standard.

"Milita sniper can't headshot anyone" WHAT?? I headshot people all the time. Just yesterday, I headshotted 3 pro snipers in a row with the starterfit sniper. Nova knives are weak tho.

I will say lower tier grenades are okay, if a bit gimpy. What I do hate however is that they cost the same far as I can tell to restock on nano hives and supply depots as higher tier stuff. it would be nice if a front line unit trying to spam their crappy grenade wouldn't lock the supply depot so I can't get anything out of it.
Another glitch I'd like to see fixed is the flux grenade. While people complain about the dmg one way or another I would love to see the AoE fixed. It doesn't seem that the visual effect is the actual AoE. People inside the dome don't always loose their shields and it seems to have no vernicle hit detection. You can go threw walls with the flux, but you can't get anything on a ceiling even if you time it to explode right at the roof.
This also leads to scouts simply jumping over the flux effect at times even though it looks like their inside of the dome. |

Yes they do, every time. I think you're just not realizing how thick the ceilings are some places. On the roof over the point in the production facility, on the roof with the null cannon overlooking the point where it's above the supply depot, not to mention on any of those flat roofed completely glitched buildings that everything shoots through. |

Just increase blast radios and shorten the fuse after you hold it and you click it with you hand. Iv noticed people just run past my nade and take no damage to what seems very close range. Iv planted one by my feet once and it didnt kill me or my opponent. Idk how but im sure its blast radios.

I agree but first grande visibility needs to be increased and cooking a nade needs to either take more skill or have countermeasures
as it is now unless you look in the general direction of the nade you cant see it so there's no way for you to know which way you should be going to evade it
and if someone cooks it up there is almost no way to avoid it the only indicator is the beeping that it makes but that can be quickly drowned out by the sounds of other things such as rifles
there isn't much of a way to avoid being hit either and the core nade has a big enough radius where you only have to throw it in the general direction to get the kill
If nades were able to be shot down or pre exploded by shooting at it while the user is cooking it up there would be a risk to using them so the reward would be justified
I believe it is already possible to explode an RE out of someones hands as I shot a player with a SG that was carrying around proxies and somehow got killed by a Proxy which made no sense to me but if that could happen to nades it would make things more interesting especially if a flux nade could make it go off prematurely
if the heavies got a hand held shield they could block the blast and keep friendlies safe making it easier to push when there is nade spam
there just needs to be ways to counter nades to make it fair and justify buffing them

grenades used to do these exact numbers, but then CCP nerfed them out of the blue for no appearant reason, leaving cores (that were already overperforming, according to some) as they are. |

Do you just suck at using grenades and it upsets you when you get blown up? Or does mass driver spam bother you too?
Many seem to ***** about core locus because people who know how to cook it right can OHK, what about a properly cooked and placed M8? Same damage profile different blast radius.
Give us a grenadier class where we can swap light and sidearm for grenades. Then we can run around with 3 slots full of different grenades in a myofib stacked suit punching fools to death or blowing them up.
As a grenade user, I feel they're fine. The basic gives you an extra grenade over militia, the advanced gives a decent buff for damage, lvl. 4 gives the damage of a core but forces you to be more precise with your throw, and the core does what a grenade really should.
And packed AV grenades are dope.
Grenade spam over a hive is scrubby, but so are cloaked shotgun scouts. Or are people just using the tools at their disposal to effectively destroy their enemies?

You know for all you people quoting realism on grenades you seem to ignore the rest of the Dust world. Getting run over by a freaking drop ship or tank doesn't always kill you. A 80mm cannon takes several shots to kill you... Mass drivers, lasers, sniper riffles, machine guns etc all take several shots for the most part to kill a decently outfitted suit. Yet you try and claim a grenade should kill 90% of the suits out there in one shot because grenades are dangerous in real life? How man times you surived getting hosed down by an assault riffle? Should everything in Dust be one shot, one kill because they are dangerous in real life? |

If the damage gets modified Then I would make a suggestion The "frag" grenades should act like frags Lethal within 1 meters less damage further out, Between 1 and 3 meters 50% dmg 3 to 4 meters 15 %
This way "balance" would be kept

If you get killed by explosives as a sentinel, you need to learn to AFK in the MCC, not in the city.

Well other than remotes cause well those pack a punch. You might survive a basic explosive if your at full HP and shields, but other wise they will one shot you pretty easily.

I would like to see maybe the cal sent get resist to flux nades over explosives. I also would like the other sents bonus against explosives up to make it worth while, but that is me being greedy.
What we need is more variety in grenades. Provide an explosive grenade with a huge blast radius but smaller dmg output for anti scouts. They could also make a grenade that sticks to surfaces, for those fun throws onto roofs and other elevated positions. Don't change, add to increase the options and wash out the calls for change. Like they did with sidearms.

I personally don't think grenades should be an opt out of actual combat. They do too much damage (at least the Core) over too much range. You should have to choose between doing high damage (such as the Packed grenade) or higher range (7.2m core), IMO.
