Lost 1 fitted archdukes in a FW Won and got 203k isk returned So the npc value of the fit is roughly 500k which is pretty bad imo compared to the player market
Fit was Archdukes mk.o Alexs HMG Agumus MD Kubos Scp 2 krins mods 2 complex armour rep 1 complex recharger
Should officer gear have a higher value in the NPC market for selling to agent and losing in a match?

Selling yes because sometimes you can't trust reg players so you can sell to npc but the value is ****. Losing maybe like a 15% increase because you want to at least make em feel for using it.

They player market will always value items in a free market way (which will establish a real and unbiased price.) The NPC market is always undervalued as a way to set an artificial lower limit to price and prevent altogether speculative devaluation.
It isnt necessarily a good thing where reward is based upon an NPC market value but Im sure that, given the proper metrics, CCP could compensate in reward the difference.
TL; DR Yes they could but the value would have to fluctuate: Its a hassle they wont bother with.

The last thing you want is people logging in, claiming officer gear, selling it to NPC, and then logging off.

Yes- ore we are just over pricing them. I mean, the whole fit is around 500k you said, let's assume that the dropsuit alone is 300k. I can buy what, like 6 pro galassaults with that. But we sell it for what's is 20 gal assaults. I will take the Rattati for this example.
Is a Rattati that has more pg/CPU, more rep, a second light weapon, and a second equipment slot really worth 20 PRO GALASSAULTs? In reality, it should be like 1 and a half if you think about it. Now add its rare value to it. Tbh, officer gear isn't even rare any more. I remember like in 1.7 when if you saw a Thales sniper in a match, it would be like a 1 in 20 matches. Now I see an officer weapon every match or so. Now transfer it to DROPSUITS. Why don't people use them as much as weapons? Because they are strong without the weapons which gives it more survivability value. But are they as common? Not as much, but close. Everyone has a nice stack of OFF dropsuit. It's just that no uses them. And everyone gets them for free anyways.
So tldr- officer DROPSUITS are kinda/technically/in a way over priced by us players when they really/actually/technically cost like half of what we sell them for.

Why not? It stops people selling it to others. That will just kill you with it

Officer is a common thing now. It doesn't have much value (npc).

I agree with the notion it's overpriced
Interestingly I think player market prices were just decided by what everyone else was selling at No one really stopped to consider their actual value
Though it's tough as they are unique and people had a lot of isk
Just thought I'd share my findings in Fw for discussion
