While 'nice', I think the only way to 'scavange' should be to 'loot' weapons after a battle...
Simply due to the awkwardness it would otherwise make in regards to character fits, CPU/PG limits and skill requirements |

+1 Supported
I too would like to press the action button to swap my depleted weapon for that of an enemies weapon or its clips of ammo if there the same type.
Now mind you, only if you have the skill/cpu/pg for it. Otherwise get the message that "lol u suk, cant use this lolol". |

Thing that makes an FPS hard to "loot" in, is that there's often no inventory aside from weapons/equipment and ammo. There are a few tricks, such as post-battle drones and scavenger vehicles (think a Noctis, just with treads instead of a warpdrive) to get loot with. No doubt one of the trickiest things to put in a game like this. |

What about the fact bodies incinerate? I'm assume if you would burn your armor to stop others tea leafing it (stealing) then you'd do the same for your rather fancy gun. |

I don't want an entire loadout just a quick gun swap for when I run low on ammo. |

Bf3 doesnt have an RPG element though. The point is you need to learn to use these guns via the skill tree. Do you think you would know exactly how to use a mini-gun if you were just a normal soldier trained to use assault rifles? You'd end up having an eye out.
Something like picking up ammo from a gun in the same class as yours on the otherhand. |
