The word loyaly is a joke in this game. Loyalty points should be based on a how truely loyal to your faction or race you are.
If i pick a race and my race is Caldari and i go to fight for my faction. Then i shouldn't be using amar or any other races or factions gear to fight for my faction.
I should get my loyalty points based on that and nothing else. The game isnt like the real world during times of war. You know that the enemy is red and the allies are blue. So there is no reason to look like a minmatar fighting for the caldari.
All this being said i know that some races have gear and suits suited to beat other races but then thats all the more reason to use other suits from the same faction you are fighting for.
If non of the suits or weapons from that faction or race are able to beat the opposing race then we as the gamers need to present that to the developers to balance it out. There really shoulnt be a reason why one faction has to be stronger than another. You pick a race and use their suits and weapons. You get loyalty point for staying loyal despire the faction war out come.
Let me know what yall think.

Like now we have a pay system in Faction Warfare that replaces some of what you loss.
If you are using their racial equipment then it compensates another 20% for the item(s) you lost during battle.
I don't want anything a disadvantage to run other racial items, I just want to promoting racial conformity.

I like the idea of using that Factions gear you are fighting for. Ultimately in the end to receive a boosted payout of LP.

There are many forms of loyalty just as loyalists do.
Restrictions to one races technologies do determine loyalty only the willingness to commit time and effort to something, in this case one of Dust 514's four main Empire Faction. Loyalists come in many different forms some are like PIE Inc which do as you said only use Amarrian weapons and Dropsuits while others who are no less valuable make use of what is most practical to their needs.

I think it's really dumb when someone is using a state assault ck.0 while fighting for the gallente. There is a certain amount of logic behind it. But I still think it's dumb. Anyways, this isn't communist Russia where you have to use a certain gear, fighting for a certain faction

Instead of loyalty points it should be called traitor points.

I do agree with what your saying here but, what about allied races?
For instance I am Amarr and I do enjoy my racial suits and weapons, but I also like to fight for my Caldari allies as well rocking the Amarr gear.

Agreed... I've always felt I deserved at least a little bonus slogging through Gal FW with strictly GAL suits/gear...A few extra standings points would be nice... |

What is the point of this in a game universe where results and success are what matters, not how hard you kiss a faction's ass by showcasing their shinies.
This idea is pointless and needlessly punishes people for playing actual mercenaries, you know, the actual premise of the game?
WoW has taught me that Purple means Legendary. This means Quafe suits are the optimal loadout for killing all of you.

It's a good idea in theory, terrible in practice.
Minmatar would be the only race with HMG's, Rep Tools and Remotes.
Amarr would be the race with Uplinks.
Gallente would be the only race with Scanners and Shotguns
Caldari would be the only race with AV, Hives, and Injectors.
Lack of full Heavy weapon, AV, and Equipment Disparity makes running that idea nearly impossible. It limits the teams far too much.
However, limiting the dropsuits would definitely be possible. I would support that. Would make the FW meta interesting.
In Min factional, you would know that the entire team is going to be armor tanking to some degree. Maybe we would see more Shield or Brick tanked Amarr suits to counter?
Gallente know that Caldari are almost exclusively shields, we would see a lot of them packing hybrid shield tanks and running Tac AR's to counter the range, etc.
It would be interesting, to say the least.

Loyalty Points are awarded for fighting for the faction not for using the factions stuff. You owe it to the faction to use the best stuff you can to win. Loyalty Points are just currency like gift cards or stors vouchers, only redeemable at that particular store. |
