Just take the Breach variant out of the game as no-one uses it or change it so it launches, a flux grenade that explodes on impact - just like the normal mass driver, but has a smaller radius.
I think that would be a great inclusion into the game and go a ways to reducing the effectiveness of camping on high spots.

I feel like a flux mass driver would need a larger radius, not a smaller. Since flux grenades can't kill troops, it would literally only be useful for rapid fire fluxing to get rid of equipment and to support during a rush of an objective to get rid of enemy shields while the armor weapons take everyone down. [edit] And also to wittle down vehicle shields.
Aside from that, though, I think this is actually a pretty good idea. A flux mass driver is something I would actually use. Hooray support roles. |

Hence the point about smaller blast radius - if it were just as simple as chucking about a 1500 shield damage orb about, it would be massively OP, especially to shield tanks.
Maybe 2/300 shield damage in a small area per blast? |
