I'm thinking of going full ****** and taking the first step into PC next time I see a platoon in squad finder just to see what it's like. My biggest question is, is every single match as laggy as I hear people complaining about? Are there at least occasional 'clear' matches?
I don't have the best... anything, really, and my biggest frustration playing this game is being killed quickly and repeatedly before I have time to react, especially when the game starts lagging and the kill was less about me making a mistake and more about there being no chance to respond. Which I expect would happen often in a very laggy match considering I not only have no gun game and generally play in squishy suits.
I'll probably just stick to FW regardless of how it goes, though. I complain enough about getting stuck in corporation stomps without voluntarily walking into a corporation stomp.
Also, I've got a headset and have had it for months now but for some reason I can't seem to get the mic to work for the PS3. Any help? I'll update with info on the headset once I can find the box, assuming I didn't throw it away at some point.
I vaguely remember that I need to stick the cord for the headset through some adapter thing for the A/V cables, but that hasn't seemed to work. Headset is some $50 piece of **** from Wal-Mart with glowing ear pieces. Looks like it has the Elder Scrolls: Oblivion symbol as its logo. I bought it because I figured it'd be worth the price and it said it worked well with PC and the current consoles and I wanted to try out actually talking to people in-game. Didn't work out. |

Majority of the PC matches a play are lag free, there might a drop in frame rate for a short moment here and there but for most of the time it feels just like a pub match.
But than again, when you do get bad lag you lag for the entire game.
I'm kind of a big deal.

It's been a while since I've seen someone with headset issues, that was a big flaw early in the game as CCP gave no indication on how to set it up which lead to most casual gamers giving up trying and not being able to use voice comms.
- Make sure Headset is connected properly to ps3 - In PS menu - settings - accessory settings - set you headset to the input + output device
- In Dust menu, go through system operation, make sure Voice chat is enabled - The push to talk setting needs to be set to OFF (unless you keep it and press left on the D-pad while you speak)
If I recall correctly that should get your mic working fine, if you are interested getting into some PC, leave me a mail in-game.
