To live up to the title of 'War Hero SKIN', I'd hope they would be very difficult to obtain.

No, they should not have an ISK, LP cost, only usable at Ranks 9, and Rank 10. You have already bled isk and LP to get those ranks, you should not have to further bleed just to show such things. SKINs should not negatively impact performance. They have significantly less impact that the old BPO system. We seem to have two separate opinions on the cost of these SKINs. 501st makes the argument that you expended tens of millions ISK to get to standing rank 10 so that is enough of an investment. Talos states that the ISK/LP cost further increases the SKINs' value and rarity. Talos, standing 10 is a very high requirement for these SKINs in and of itself. Would you consider removing the ISK cost and making it purely LP?
Here's what Is really like to see.
Right now we have the Marine LP SKINS. I'd like to see Factional:
- Marine SKINs
- Officer SKINs
- General SKINs
All of them harder progressively harder to get , so that seeing them actually means something.
War Hero SKIN sounds great as well, but I feel something like that should be rare as hell, imo.
Additionally, I'd like to see FW events where unique faction SKINS are granted. So when people see you wearing it they will say "Hey, he fought in the ******** War, cool".
Prices are certainly debatable, but I like my SKINS like I like my steaks: More rare the better.

If it were up to me, I'd have the current LP skins remain 'MARINE', and have them only go up in tier and price from there. Yes, I'm in the 'These should be quite rare and hard to obtain' camp, but that's just me.
To compensate, I would also be in favor of adding a 'RECRUIT' LP skin for half the price of the marine SKIN.
Perhaps my views are pretty strict on this, but here's how I see it. Loyalty SKINs should require and show actual loyalty. I think seeing one should mean: "Hey, there's a person very loyal to their faction".
