what does EVE have to do with DUST? if it doesn't concern FW linking or DUST just shut down the other parts of the server instead of making EVERYONE wait. its stupid bro. also FALCON, when is my FALCHION coming back?

DUST and EVE are fully integrated on tranquility and they are interlinked. What affects EVE will affect DUST. So if EVE has a string of bad code, it can crash DUST. If DUST has a string of bad code and it crashes EVE, someone is getting killed.
it only runs on the same server. the only real connections to EVE is the log in board and the maybe 2 info feeds that CCP barely use at all and the PC/FW connections (FW is actually larger than just dropping OBs but you get it) it is possible to just move DUST onto one of their other servers, really.

DUST was fully mobile before FW was introduced they could just move it onto another server... but now... well yeah. and one single line of bad code won't crash the whole thing, it just affects the thing it's connected to after it, now before it (unless its a massive thing but CCP haven't done anything with the connections since the last PC/FW changes that included EVE side, and no not 1.2 I mean like Uprising 1.4)

I don't know, but I know what is, a falchion with a compressed particle cannon with 3 passive damage mods a heat sync and a few extras.... THAT packs a punch of over 3K damage a shot...
