I've just finished reading the EULA and under 6-B it says this.
"The buying, selling, trading, auctioning, or other transfer (or any attempt at doing so) of characters, character attributes, items, currency, or objects outside of the Game environment or for real world currency, whether through online auctions, newsgroups, postings on message boards or any other means, is strictly prohibited by the EULA and a violation of CCP's proprietary rights in the Game."
It clearly states there that trading for objects outside of the game environment, which I assume to mean trading in-game items or currency for real world services or goods, is prohibited. I'm wondering if you guys would allow someone to pay ISK for something like a character template for people to use in the new SKIN challenge Aeon Amadi's brought up.
There would be no actual trading going on and it's not something I'm doing for personal gain. Just sending ISK Aeon's way so he'll take time out of his day to draw some more racial suits for the SKIN challenge for people to get an idea what their suit will look like. I won't even own the drawings, so it's more of a donation to entice him to draw more, really. |

Damn, man, I wish I was that lucky with the strongboxes. In the hundreds I've opened I've only gotten a Quafe Swarm Launcher and a Serpentis Medium skin.
Definitely worth the watch. |

Nah, I only went back and read it to find some specific information regarding trading for real world items. Technically this would be allowed because I'm not actually receiving anything in return, just giving Aeon an ISK incentive to make the SKIN challenge a bit more even by giving everyone a racial suit to fill in, so it's not actually any form of trade or transfer for real world goods or services.
But I want to get a thumbs up from a dev and Aeon wanted to be sure, too. Would suck to be banned for something as silly as a drawing. |
