You all know what I'm talking about.
There are players that lag by such an incredible degree that they can stand still, get hit by a forge gun move slightly afterwards and the server decides that they weren't hit. Meanwhile it condenses all the shots they shot in two about two seconds and you die before you can react.
I would love to say it's just my connection, though it's not everyone. It's usually a few select individuals that affect a match. If I'm lucky then I they will be on my side. If not then I will have to fight them.
It's disheartening to know that for some reason or another there are just certain players that will be almost impossible for me to kill. Even if they are AFK for a moment. I know there's not much that can be done because of the small player base, but it still happens often enough to be on my mind often.
Put your flags up in the sky.
And wave them side to side.
Show the world where you're from.
Show the world we are one.

I have to agree on this I was playing a pub yesterday and 1 guy was literally and I mean literally jumping 3 feet everywhere he moved and this is when he was by himself or in a group of reds. How are you supposed to kill a person you cannot tell where they even are? (As in mini teleports) |

I do remember encountering one player who was clearly lagging intentionally. Somehow. I use to think that lag switching was impossible, but after seeing what I saw, and it's hard to forget seeing something like that, I'm starting to wonder now.
He was in an Amarr Scout suit with either a CR or a SCR and possibly a pair of Nova Knives as a sidearm. Can't remember the exact weapon. He was running towards me as I was shooting at him head on with my CR on my Minmatar Scout suit. Before I started shooting, he was moving around normally and I decided to get the jump on him first. But as soon as started firing and landing hits on him, his whole body started to teleport back and forth and left to right as he turned towards me and approached me.
But because I was sweeping my CR a bit, I was able to account for that teleportation and I was able to kill him before he could stop me. I was taken by surprise by what I saw. If there are people who are successfully lag switching somehow, that needs to be addressed. I'm starting to wonder now if the battle servers are what's preventing Tranquility from catching those kind of shenanigans.

Saw that with a gk.0 suit that was moving so fast he was lagging everyone out whenever you got near him. Figured it was a glitch with the server trying to keep up with stacked kincats.

It wouldn't be so bad if they had just as much trouble hitting you as you did them.....
Some nights it is the same mercs from the same corps....over and over.
My favorite is the insta-blap where you know for you had the jump on them but in between frames they teleported/strafed and got the lock on you with a scrambler and now you got little or no chance....
Have you ever ran into a situation where you are well into their armor and they start to fire at you and the damage you are doing suddenly stops but you still see/hear the damage being done but aren't getting credit for it?
I have this happen several times in almost all matches.

Then it's not possible for it to be the result of kinetic catalyzer stacking because the Scout Gk.0 is not the fastest suit. That would be the Scout Mk.0. I often stack 3 kin cats on my Mk.0 sprinting at 11.11m/s but I still get wrecked often if I'm caught out in the open.
PS: I often run circles around my target when I'm close enough to avoid most shots or by randomly changing direction as a I sprint to close in on them but that means having to take my eyes off them and I often have to guess where they are as they jump over me trying to avoid my knife attacks.

i have seen this a few times as well. Though i am not sure it is a "lag switch"
Relativity lag free match, and one player starts teleporting in quick bursts as soon as engaged.
Even more obvious when its someone i have killed a few times normally and yet this time they come full proto and lag hard upon engagement.

Overall, I find it extremely pathetic and sad that any player would want to induce some kind of lag intentionally just to win a game or to prevent losing their proto/officer gear. There are even players who pull the plug on their consoles if they find themselves bleeding out in an expensive suit so they can save it. You can tell this happens when you just killed them but see their clone bodies suddenly disappear. No deterioration animation or anything like that. They just straight up disappear in a blink of an eye.

Yeah, it's even worst when they shield tank for some crazy reason. The AR and ScR can take shields down fast enough...but the CR and RR are another story.

Hit registry isn't as good as one might wish. It pretty much never has been. Try sniping and you'll have a visceral (I'm sorry) realization of just how spotty it is.

Yep, you know there is a problem when you get a Cal scout suit down to 1/4th armor and are still shooting through the armor.
