Signal Disruptor - Equipment
Counter part to the active scanner, this active equipment of Serpentis origin obfuscates friendly units in it's radius from enemy tacnet. Activation, cool down and graphic assets remain identical to the cloak. Offers NO visual camouflage whatsoever, strictly an electronic subterfuge device to allow a group to remain off the radar. Effectively making the person using it an active AoE Profile Dampener.
Potential balancing mechanic: instead of everything in the radius being invisible, the area of effect can be in gray or red, showing that there is a Signal Disruptor there, but obscuring what's within. A lone unit trying a feint? A full squad? The whole team?
This can work it's way into the Logi bonus restructuring. It might also be used to help the Amarr Scout.
Thank you for reading !

I like the idea but I would make some changes: - Make it deployable Equipment. - While it hides everything else within a specific radius from the Tac-Net, the Signal Disruptor itself should show up on scans.

Why deployable? Can you explain? Way I look at your idea, it makes it kind of useless if you can't actually get into a position to use it in the first place. Seems better to have it move with the merc. Of course that's me looking at its use as an offensive tool. |

I would also like to see it move with the merc, whom cannot attack due to having the equipment "active" like the cloak. I also agree that maybe the user's position should be givent away, which would best be represented with a circle delimiting the disruptor's radius on tacnet (red? gray?). The user of the disruptor would invariably be at the center of said circle.
I think there is some tactical advantage to being able to make a feint.
I'd also propose an intel-kill assist bonus for kills performed by friendly's benefiting from the disruptor.
