And thanks to tiericide, logis can now fit a halfway decent tank at standard and advanced levels. Have I mentioned how much I love tiericide? 'Cause I do. A lot.
tiericide is what happened, as every suit became more viable logies did not gain any specific advantages that they could have if the frames had stayed as they were, now any assault player lacking speed can simply fit a kincat even heavies can fit then without sacrificing much
logis now all have 4 equipment slots encouraging them to carry all the equipment they can making it less viable to fit it as a slayer as wp can be acquired much faster with the equipment
basic frames can now carry two equipment's while still being able to carry a sidearm making them more viable for the slayer logi role although they do not get any speed boost like the logis got making you use kincats to compensate but since you can still fit them without giving much up it doesn't really matter
any suit any role can now be a slayer but since everyone also has more ability to survive the game becomes more tactical making you use any advantages you can get (role specific bonuses) as TTK goes up cheap tactics lower, knifing is harder now and you actually have to aim for the head in most occasions shotguns are now in most cases two shot kills rather then one even with head shots
Bolt pistols that were otherwise considered OP are hardly complained about as much just because people are dying less overall, surviving an ScR attack is more likely now as you have more time to react (run away in most cases)
using proto gear to stomp becomes less viable as std and adv frames can stack more HP relatively cheap making them feel more confident in fighting back and the proto users less confident overall as they could potential lose a lot of isk
stomps matter more about how well a squad or squads can perform rather then the gear they carry
stacking damps is easier for new players that don't like to get scanned and precision mods for the visually impaired (no situational awareness at all)
the playing field is by far more leveled proto suits still get advantages but its up to the player to use them well, rather then just having a huge margin of error
dust is good and getting better especially for new players but I think the middle class of dust benefited the most which is overall good as matches can now be more even (to a degree as many players are still stuck in a no risk mindset)
thats how I see it
