I'm gonna come right out and say it if someone is ontop of the MCC they can shoot at you but due to barriers you cannot shoot back unless they are in certain spots, didnt think id see anyone doing this anymore but MCC sniping may be making a comeback the mcc's being closer to certain points makes this a real problem that need to be fixed as soon as possible
the hit box of the MCC makes if so that anyone standing on top of it does not take damage as the hit box of the mcc gets in the way however if you are standing on top of the MCC you do not get the same issue

Duck behind a hill and snipe so you can only just see the enemy over the hill and they won't be able to hit you back.
It's perfectly possible to be killed on the MCC but not if you are just peeking over the hit-box and head glitching. Often getting further away eliminates the issue if you are counter sniping.
It is more noticeable on the MCC as the hit-box doesn't line up with the graphical edges of the MCC but it's not an MCC specific problem.
that's the thing I know that head glitching is a problem but you can still line up shots, the problem is the hitbox of the MCC you cant see it so you dont know where to aim unless you trace the whole outline and keep a landmark, but if they move slightly you have to redo it because the hitbox is in weird spots
as for head glitching if you know where they are just point your rifle slightly above where their head should be, not where it is so its actually a tiny bit above it, this way you can still get a head shot off on them most of the time a bit hard to line up shots without something to aim at but its not impossible, you can find proof of this by aiming at any suit that is crouched down aim slightly above their head and you will see that a headshot will still register

ChribbaX wrote:Does it happen to both types of MCC? Because I've sniped people standing on the MCC fine, but maybe I've not encountered what you are suggesting.
And I've also taken damage from people shooting at me whilst I've been on the MCC.
/c
I've encountered it mostly on the Gal MCC but I imagine that it could be done on both if you know the hitbox and use it to your advantage along with the head glitching that was mentioned which can also be attributed to hitbox issues
personally I think its a cheap strategy and that it does not really help out the team although it may on certain maps where the MCC is close to the action

I've seen a few scrubs try to replicate it but they fail miserably as they think that as long as they are on top of the MCC that they wont take any damge, thales and symbs campers
initially its hard to know where the shots are coming from as they float on the MCC and aren't directly on it (the hitbox is bigger then the actual ship)
I wont go into detail about how people are doing it as many have already tried to replicate it
I've been making it a point to look out for MCC campers, most I've seen so far is 2 people on it at the same time and some of my own team mates are doing it
I knew it would become more of a problem but as long as they don't figure out how to do it properly it should be easy to deal with, but once they know we will see more KD padding scrubs doing it and that will make it into a serious issue which is why it should be addressed as soon as possible
there are already enough snipping positions but its bad when you sit behind cover and can still get shot at as the MCC gives snipers the best angle to kill from above
getting on top of the MCC to snipe is fair enough but the hitbox is a real issue as you can shoot them anywhere and they take no damage, unless you can get on equal grounds or a higher elevation you pretty much cant hit them unless they mess up or you find an opening which is hard to do without any indicators of where the hitbox is other then the bottom right info but I have found it to be unreliable in this situation
