Once the overlord of the CQC world that destroyed AR users, HMG users, and managed to annihilate Shotgun users before they even got close the Assault SMG is a wretched, drunkard of its former self. Though, it is still potent except not where most people wish it was.
The Assault SMG was actually developed by the Ishukone Corporation, a Caldari enterprise. This is important to note because it means it has the best range of all the SMG's, and oddly enough the highest fire rate.
Though, for some reason or another this SMG is TERRIBLE when fired off the hip. Shots seem to fly everywhere except where your aiming. Some would argue that this is a reason to buff it because it fails at being good at spraying people in the face which is what SMG's are supposed to do.
Others will argue that when aimed down sight the SMG is as potent as any AR or Combat Rifle. If there is distance enough between you and your target then this weapon will kill them as if you are throwing mini chain saws at their neck. Though this range is small and very specific.
So does the Assault SMG need a buff because its good range interval is small and it's hipfire is terrible?
Or should it stay where it is because in the right hands it rivals the AR?
I'm split. When I use it as my back up weapon for point blank fighting it is terrible. Yet when I use it on my Swarm Launcher class as my primary infantry weapon it seems excellent at a distance.
So is it a fail or is it decent?

Ok, but how to buff it so to not make the Magsec obsolete? Wait, the Breach already has comparable range to the Magsec.
I'm certain that the MagSec has a higher range. I also believe that the Breach SMG and standard SMG have the same exact range. Anyways, the biggest issue with the MagSec is the glitch where it won't do any damage at all.
