Its kind of because of this that I stopped playing Dust entirely. AFW as much as I love it became bland and unappealing with a general lack of competition besides Negative Feedback to keep FW fresh and challenging.
I'm glad we have people who are able to keep the fight going and reminding people that there is a level of talent in the AFW/MFW zones. I just wish match ups between those who want to take FW seriously on the Min Side would meet up with us more on the Amarr side.

It's not like the game makes any effort to get players invested in the lore of New Eden.
Seriously, I still have no idea how FW effects EVE.
FW doesn't affect New Eden. At its core it is a government-CONCORD sanctioned proxy war designed to harness the aggression of the Empires and channel it into low population regions of space on the fringe of Empire Space. Its now actually a highly profitable series of conflicts that all empires to some degree benefit from. Winning it is merely a statement of current occupation forces supremacy over their weaker counterparts. It's still rare as hell though.
Thing about lore in New Eden is that it is all there laid out before you as clear as day but you do have to look for it to find it. It's not coming to you, good video game lore is never thrown directly at your feet with a 'I'm here, read this' placard.
That being said FW could tell a narrative if it had one built into it.
What we effectively do in FW is spend our time fighting over districts. What those districts do is offer a modifier on the number of Victory Points, or VP required by EVE players to claim a system. If a Defending faction owns this modifier is makes plexing the system down by and enemy a much longer process allowing more time to counter attack and plex down. If you are attacking it makes it that much easier to render the system vulnerable and ready to be taken.
Additionally it offer certain benefits to pilots in the region though to some degree you have to be the system owner to take advantage of them since they require either POS or Station access. Now in its current state the regional control values mean little as they fluctuate through system every 20 mins or so making controlling the modifiers incredibly difficult.
However if groups could choose which system to attack and defend they could communicate with EVE pilots to perhaps take control of a system the day before their opposition begins an attack slowing down their efforts significantly, or perhaps attacking a system days before your own allies headshot the system and claim it very quickly.
Eventually the ideal scenario would be that players are creating their own warzones with contracts being set by EVE pilots or other corporations to claim those warzones with the higher value ones being the most desirable for competitive players and EVE pilots alike.

I dont know but CCP Ratatti making the Gallente Tank to a reskinned Amarr tank = NO. Amarr tank should be Caldari reskinned and Minmatar Gallente. I dont want my Gal tank to have some ugly gold from the Amrrians. ewww Tell your Empress that she can rot in FW under my name PERIOD.
I'd like to say that would make more logical sense but Caldari - Minmatar and Gallente - Amarr aesthetics are closer to one another.....plus I'd rather have the ability to aim down than logical tank hulls.
The Empress btw doesn't have time to sully her hands with filth like you. We're kind of busy here kicking Drifter ass!

Lose an FW fight to a sync? Grab more players, queue back up.
The worst fighters in FW are the ones that lose a match and then give up for the rest of the day. Too many FW stomps = smashed controller.
What you should be doing is then taking those loses, assessing the reasons for those losses which are applicable to your teams tactics and your own personal game play, iterating upon those weaknesses, and taking the time to work with other like minded players to advance your goals.
If you are not willing to put the effort in to the battle your opponent will and they will win because of it. Ghost has the right of it.
