That aura was a pretty bad mechanic since it blinded you.
I prefer having your health bar glow green just like when using equipment or active modules in vehicles.

I would like something similar to return. As a logi, sometimes I break reps to drop a a nanohive/uplink and the blueberry rushes into 3+ reds thinking he's still getting repped. Same deal with squadmates, as I don't use a mic.

If a logi is repping somebody they get red letters on their screen saying either lock on or lock lost.
Just put those letters on the person that's getting repped screen as well.

This went away after they tried to add in showing red for damage being taken which was absolutely horrible and really made it impossible to win any gunfight that you did not land the first shot to blind your enemy.
The repping version with just the glow around the edge of the screen was great and should definitely be brought back. Just delete the crap you added for damage and drop it back in.

I get that some people thought the old aura limited their peripheral vision, but this is now pretty much the only game I play where you have no idea if someone is supporting you.

Yes we do.
I'd argue the aura is more useful for the rep tool than communication. Communication is too slow in many situations.

^ Agreed. I have a mic, and it's still not enough a lot of times before a heavy moves into a firefight while I'm dropping nanos, or scanning.
Plus, if they're not in my squad they have no way for me to alert them one way or another.
I think the health bar glowing, or something other than the glowing aura, would be a huge plus.

I have seen it pop up very intermittently over the last few days. It is always the yellow version but comes up when taking damage. It also always looks like the new auras that were added just before the entire system was removed.
I suppose I will have to spend a full day recording in hopes of catching this on film for comparison. My hard drive is going to HATE me.

That way you can see the amount to judge if you'd survive for long.(Min logi vs Non Min logi)
And when the prompt stops,you know you're not being repaired anymore.

As an alternative to the repping aura I would say go with the earlier idea of adding a glow to the health bar. I feel like getting an old mechanic brought back will be much easier than getting a totally new mechanic added tho.
Simple fix = Bring back all auras and give option to turn off in the system operations menu. Hopefully they could do it with the much older version but I would be fine with any version of it. The newer version was horrible and what ultimately caused them to be removed.
