Might I put in a few words on the dissolution of PFBHz?
Though a lot of people might like to think that we got ROFL-stomped, that simply was not the case as every match before the mass rage quit was still quite close on MCC, and on the clone front. The majority reason for why we lost was a misunderstanding of initial spawn in mechanics.
See, we didn't know to load in the fittings in the WB first while Hellstorm did. This lead us to load in 20+ seconds late allowing Hellstorm to take extremely hard control very early on in the matches with zero resistance.
Seeing every letter turn red while we were still only halfway across the map to our closest letter is more that just a little upsetting, but in the initial attacks on Hellstorm, we figured it as a mechanic of PC that the defenders started either closer to the letters, or they spawned in faster on the initial spawn in.
Following the 3 close games that were our failed attacks, we sat back and waited to be attacked, sure that it was just a defender mechanic that was giving them their lead. We were sure that with that mechanic on our side, it was going to be an easy win for when we had to defend.
So when we got attacked by Hellstorm, and they yet again took over the map while we were only halfway to our first letter, there were people who literally broke their controller. Some guys simply deleted dust right then and there, never to be seen again.
There is literally a thread on our private forums that came up a week later consisting mostly of facepalms titled "So... thats how they get to letters faster!!!?" when it finally came to light what was going on with our late spawn-ins, but by then, it was too late for the corp to come back.
Those losses came on top of the nasty internal strife centered around recruiting standards and weather or not we wanted to stay on Dust anyways because of how poorly CCP had handled the release of Uprising in the first place.
Uprising had already made several guys quit and had put many players more on the fence for staying loyal to the game for what was done to the aiming mechanics. If I might quote indy strizer on the first game played on its release,
"What the hell man, it's like my clone just duct taped his gun to his **** and is trying to aim by swinging it around."
That statement for those of you who didn't play at that time is more accurate that you can possibly know.
Just a bit of clarification for y'all.
