sit between 100 and 175m and spam shots with a tac sniper and laugh, constantly reposition and stop trying to sit at max weapon range and treat it like the mid/long range weapon it is.
packed on a cardari commando with a backup ARR its an abslutly beastly combo alowing you to project damage and assist allies without fear of retaliation ass you outrange your oponents, just fine firing lines and for the lvoe of god dont be afraid to move and get closer, you can land alot ofdamage as close in as 60m before the ARR becomes a better option.
i used to annoy the crap our of proto PC squads using this with only a single squad member ass backup (usually either advancing with me supporting him or him protecting me as i act like incompetant bait :P
its a specialist weapon, stop using it as an excuse to stay as far away from battle as possable and start using it to actually do something productive and you wont find it terrible to use anymore.

snipers are stupid powerful if you use them right, they completlly negate rooftop camping and ddevistate forces running across those ever so common giant chunks of open ground. plus its fun to use yourself as bait

i have a bad habbit of using myself as bait to pull people out of position, being scanned works to my advantage as my intent isnt to remain hidden but to make myself an anoying and high priority target and waste peoples time.
ive pulled entire squads away from objectives (PC players) just because theyve decided they NEED to get rid of me.
mind you this is a pub match stratagy but i think its a miracle just getting PC players to want something more than a win at all costs.

Have fun with the fuk poor HD on that thing...
i also run around with it on a minmatar assault with an smg.... so totally fine if your using the weapon that matches your playstyle (tac is closer range meant for spamming shots DRM style... hell the tac is basically a DMR)
the other varient is for people who dont like playing FPS games but for some reason do so anyways

the BEST sniping spots are behind wherever the enamy is at any givin moment :P either that or directly behind your own defencive line.
