When see people proto stomp with their corps, doesn't mean they are good, it means they have team work and use proto which is op anyways. But there are players which I wanted to make clear are good even when running solo, these are the guys i respect: ( names might be written wrong ) ( Mainly players from ambush )

Evading FG shots while killing enemy troops, looking out for other AV forms, etc takes 10 times more skill and practise than shooting reds on the ground.

Seriously? No one has mentioned Gem Cutter? I know you are probably only speaking of those currently playing, but the title and OP are ambiguous as to the details. And I am surprised no one has mentioned the best Sniper. Him and Sleepy Zan defined the Sniper class, creative and unmatched.
musturd and DJINN Rampage, as the best scouts. I have seen musturd go sentinel with knives, get more kills with those knives than he does with his HMG, his scout is crazy. He also knows how to have fun in DUST. You read that sentence, and you understand it. He has fun in a very frustrating game. That by itself is baffling.
Why am I not seeing these names on the "Best Players of Dust" list? These guys are the best of their respective class.

Really? You have, what, 3 options available to you at any given time as a tanker on what to do during an engagement. Forward, backward, mod. Any of these three can be accompanied with return fire since your turret can rotate 360 with ZERO speed reduction.

Gem Cutter had a zoom function on his television, which made it a -lot- easier for him to land those precise shots.
