I think 99% of players whining abut nerfing this or that module in the game should go learn to play instead. Or use a different suit or different tactics when the get killed too much. But thats a different story. Back to my issue.
When the racial heavy suits came out, i decided to spend my reimbursed SP into the caldari Heavy without too much thinking, maybe some kind of EVE online patriotism (damn those frogs) maybe i just wanted to try something new. I guess a little bit of both. The first weeks were frustrating because shields completely suck and they still do. And believe me i tried hard, but the amarr heavy filled with armor plates always won. Before i completely resignated, i decided to try some Damage mods and whopeedoo - it worked. Everyone who faced me in battle should know i cut through most sentinels like a hot knife through butter. I never wanted to share this fitting in the forums just because everyone playing heavy was fitting defensive modules and this was my cutting edge over them. So here you go, that knowledge is worthless now.
In my opinion if you fit shield extenders on a Caldari Sentinel you should go play a sniper instead. I fitted 4 dmg mods on my pro sentinel, and this update is a smack in my face. I had to ragequit when switched on today and saw all my fittings destroyed (this means my light and med suits, too). i spent the last two years building these and even skilling some ****** fitting optimization skills up to 4 to get that extra PG point to fit a complex damage mod to my cheap suit to do almost as much damage as with my proto and now every suit gets the same slot "loadout".
The suit update is for noobs too lazy to invest some greymatter to fit some useful suits by themselves and prefer spending money on the game for some uncreative pregenerated ****"loadouts" (oops, almost called them fittings) which are stuffed with defensive modules so the lazy noob can keep up and CCP can milk them for some money.
When i played EVE online the policy as i saw it was if you use your brain you get rewarded. When i tried Dust for the first time, i saw this too but the updates in the last year all point into a different direction. Dust has to be a profitable game and i understand this from the ccp perspective. but the way they shove it into my face more and more with every update is getting too much. the orange buttons reminding me i dont have a booster inserted or hacked decryptor **** lying in my hangar every time i come on are ok for me. Also that new slot blocking out my "loadouts" so i can see the imbeciles' suits i dont wanna buy. its fine with me. but why did they mess around with the slots on the suits? Did i miss something? Is it a feature? I would love to hear i rant in vain, because i really liked this game.
Maybe CCPs (new?) more commercial approach to this game is mainly the communitys fault. On the 2014 fanfest when they announced legion, i must admit i was baffled and stopped playing for a week or so until the reason was resolved by ccp stating that the character will be portable to legion and that was it for me. But the playerbase kept up whining and maybe ccp saw, that people playing shooters are idiots. They are definitely a different bunch compared to EVE online players. When you lose in EVE you keep it to yourself. You die like a man or woman. Not like a *****. And dont you dare whine about it. You'll get teased, even by your friends. And its ok if people quit playing because they cant stand the heat, thats the reason why EVE is a legendary game and dust isnt. Because its a hard game for tough people while Dust is getting softer with every update.
Maybe its because dust needs every player it can get and stupid people tend to spend more money on pixels. Well, paper (or even data in case of money) for pixels is not the worst trade but this is getting a little too philosophical.
Wow instead of shredding you guys into pieces and getting fragged by you in return im sitting here for 2 hours typing this whiny little ***** ****, i guess i played dust for too long. Cant wait till i get a useful PC and start playing EVE again. Guess ill be playing dwarf fortress in the meantime. I was just some kill assists and blown up installations away from finishing the krins event, but im too fed up to do it atm.
no, you cant have my stuff.
PS: stop counterhacking objectives, that are about to switch allegiance, this just lets the enemy know you are there, you stupid noobs.
WoW has taught me that Purple means Legendary. This means Quafe suits are the optimal loadout for killing all of you.
