I went to start a game.......when into the find battle menu and picked a battle. It did not take me to the battle or pick spawn point screen, it went to a black screen and it said that the game I was playing was corrupt. It further told me to unistall the game and reinstall it to continue playing. After clicking ok it took me back to the PS menu.
Well I ignored the message and went back into the game.............I played 1 battle to completion and when the mission was over and I hit "return to Merc HQ" my screen went completely black not allowing me to even access the PS menu at all.
I am now having to do a hard boot and most likely will have to unistall the game and reinstall it once again. There goes my game playing for the weekend since its such a large download.
Anybody else getting the message...........????? |

I had this and im pretty sure it was caused by the repeated crashs
Only fix is to reinstall the client and repatch.
they say they will fix this issue later this month/early july but thats not nearly fast enough imo -_- |

It just happened again..............I went into a battle it said Victory instantly and then it gave me the corrupt game message again. The message said this specifically in case the techs are really reading these posts......
"The installed game is corrupted. The game will close. You muste delete the installed game and then reinstall it to play this game"
This is what sucks.......after hours of playing the game, I will loose the character I created, the mods I have purchased and then the skill points I have aquired not to mention the ISK I have earned. Even though its a Beta, time has been dedicated to the game and to figure it out and post on it.
I guess this is part of all that............I hope the techs are reading and are doing something about this and also about the constant game crashes that also make the PS3 system freeze as well. So the game and the patch took me roughly about 6 hours to download.....Verizon limits your speed. So here we go again with another 6 hours of game and patch. So technically the game will finish installing around 12:30 am my time, east coast. I will be sleeping so when I wake up I sitll wont be able to play due to then the patch taking another 3 hours.
WOW.........that puts me back in the beta sometime sunday afternoon/ evening I would say. So in total....I have played the game for a few hours on thursday, few hours on friday, and a few hours today saturday. If I calculate correclty I have had a total of about 1 full day of game play. So I guess I will reinstall and try to get on Sunday afternoon or just wait till next Weekend. If I get the corrupt message again......well I might just be bowing out of the beta.
Lets get this issue fixed CCP......................While the game is getting alot of hype, your beta testers are getting discouraged. |

Okay, I just got it. I was loading up Craterlake Communication (EU) Skirmish with the following loadout:
Militia Scout Dropsuit
Militia Shield Recharger
Tactical Sniper Rifle
Assault Scrambler Pistol
Militia Locus Grenade
Empty Slot
Militia Caridac Regulator
I selected a spawn point and then clicked the Circle button at the 3 second mark. I spawned in at 2 seconds and the screen started flashing. Then I got the message:
"The installed game is corrupted. The game will close. You must delete the installed game and then reinstall it to play this game. OK"
Instead, I reloaded the game (without turning the PS3 off), and made a change to my loadout:
Militia Scout Dropsuit
Militia Shield Recharger
Tactical Sniper Rifle
Assault Scrambler Pistol
Militia Locus Grenade
*NANITE INJECTOR*
Militia Caridac Regulator
After adding the Nanite Injector Then I reloaded the same map and played the last few minutes through to a victory and it seems to be working fine. I'm going to try another round in a few minutes and see if it crashes again. Best of luck, all! |

My game froze at the victory screen , I quit and when I started back the servers where down. I came back some hours later and the PS3 said the game was corrupt and that I had to re download and install. |

Wow, this seems to be a big issue.............well I got the message twice. After the second time I actually deleted the client. So Saturday night around 9:30 I began the download again. Needless to say I fell asleep and woke up around 7:30 this morning and the download was done.
But now the patch/update is now being downloaded and I am calculating the patch will be done sometime around 10:30 or 11 this morning, east coast time. I won't be home so I will get back in the Beta once I return. What I did notice is that that the size of the patch this time around was a little bigger than when I first installed and updated initially. So I don't know if this is the actual patch and the first time I installed it did not come over completely or if its a new updated patch.
All I know is that this all may go hand in hand with the PSN going down and then coming up......I have noticed alot of bugs since the PS network went down and then up again. Maybe it caused the game to get corrupted due to their network going down so suddenly. After awhile of crashes and the such,the game will get messed up and a reinstall is required........it just bites that its such a big download.
We as Testers should petition for the beta to be up earlier than Thursday or atleast on till Monday evening. In case other Beta testers are having the same problem and may have to delete and reinstall. I will post again once I get back in the beta and see if I get more errors or bugs. Just sucks all my SP will be gone as well as my ISK.
Ok..........guys will let you know once I get back in., sometime around 2 ish, east coast time. |

Uhh what? lol You do realize that your character and account information is server side. and will be waiting for your return, right?
I have installed, uninstalled/deleted, switched PS3's, downloaded again, and come right back in without losing a single thing. |

Yup, I just realized that once I reinstalled the game. I came back on around 1pm and once the patch was installed all of my character info and ISK and the such were still there.
I just assumed because with most games you delete and all your info is gone. So I am glad to see that atleast all my efforts were not in vain. So ok......i came back into the game and it went through a sync, little yellow bar accross screen, went into first battle and boom........game paused and booted me out to PS menu. Restarted game and until now........it seems to be going as well as it can get.
Only issue I am facing now is the lag. That may or may not be the game itself.......may be my connection or their servers, not a tech guy so can't say for sure.
Will keep posting if I get another corrupt game message again............. |
