Ok...I see everyone who is playing is posting bugs depending on their experience. My specific issue is the game crashing. I have already had two issues with the game crashing and I have only been playing it for a 1 day and a few hours. I got my code during the week and did not get a chance to play last week due to the codes issues
But anyhow...........
First crash:
I went to respawn and the game froze. It even froze my PS3 system. It stayed in the respawn screen, the one where it asks you to choose your respawn point. I had to reboot my system in order to get back into the game.
Usually when I get a similar issue with DCUO the system goes through a recovery mode and sends a report to sony. Not so with the game/system freeze for DUST514. Once I rebooted I reentered game and it worked fine.
Second Crash:
This crash really was crazy....once again it was during the respawn period. Once again I die in the game and I go to respawn. I get to the respawn screen and it asks me to choose my respawn point..........this time my screen goes completely black and the entire game freezes. Also froze my PS3 system once again....i tryied hitting ps button on controler to see if it would let me quit game, but nothing. The entire system was froze as the game and no error report or recovery protocal.
Both the freezes happened during the respawn period of the game....not a tech so I don't know if its to many players trying to respawn at the same time. |

similar problem here. I hit the PS button to check a message while on the respawn overhead map and froze. I could still navigate in the XMB but the game itself was froze, and when I finally "Quit Game" from XMB my system hard reset... also with no report on restart. |

I just get frozen while playing, it seems always when I am shooting a gun or something. |

I just froze again, this time black screen and system message saying game is corrupt. Told me to unistall and reinstall and then took me back to PS menu.

Same problem here! Crash in the middle of firefight while trying to reload.... :S |

During one lifetime today I had a lucky streak - got several enemies killed and acquired a lot of SP, then died from a grenade, respawned... And my game with PS3 froze right when I appeared on the battlefield...  |

This is a known issue that has already had a dev response. Due to be fixed in the next beta update. |

Alrighty then...............game freeze once again. This time it was in the middle of a battle. This time I had just respawned and was about to move, then boom the game froze. Once again it froze game as well as PS3......had to reboot console but no file recovery screen, took me straight to Log On screen.
Guess this is something we have to deal with in the Beta...........hmmmm I wonder if its telling us we r playing to much to fast, just dont want to run into the mysterious "Corrupted Game" message again, already deleted and reinstalled once already.

I just had to unplug my Slim because the game wouldn't even start up and the screen just stayed black.
I constantly freeze usually in a respawn,probably 30% of the time,and I always have to restart because of the super laggy character movement.I've fixed my lag issue by going to options and choosing tutorial(the only way to restart the game and get back to the main sceen,another issue that needs fixing).
EDIT:
Just finished restarting my PS3 after the initial black screen lock up which forced me to unplug it.Started the game up again and yet again,the lagginess in the personal quarters.So I tried my "trick" again,but this time it froze and restarted my PS3
Really hope you guys are working hard on fixing this mess. |

My freezing usually happens upon respawn, just before the character should appear in game and my screen should switch from map to in-game. And it freezes the system to a point I need to power off at the PS3 switch.
I cannot track it well. Though my observation was that when enabling anti-aliasing in my PS3 system settings the freezes occurred more often. They did occur without anti-aliasing though.
The voice system keeps working -- at least I can hear other players. Haven't been able to establish whether they can hear me... |

I've been playing for 2 days and have 7 crashes. Each time I cannot exit the game through the PS Button and I'm required to fully reboot the system. I continue to hear chatter over the mic however.
Two or three times after launching DUST I've come back to notice the screen is black and no button combination will bring the system back, I have had to reboot it.

I've had alot of crashes lately, though I've noticed I usually still have comms and can talk to others in the team even though I can't do anything (PS button does nothing either). So far I've not tried to wait out the match, I just reset the PS3 and start again but it's annoying to lose the items and fits I use and get no reward for anything I got done during that match. |

Hello posters..............I am back, I experienced yet another game freeze after about 2 days worth of game play. I was getting game freezes and even at one point got a corrupt game message. I deleted the game and reinstalled it. Well after I did that it seemed to work until last night. I had a good 3 days of game play and it worked well most of the day on Sunday. But then I experienced the game freeze once again.
Im not to sure what direction to take or go on this but just wait for CCP to fix the issues. I have experienced most of the symptoms everyone here has posted about. What will happen eventually is that after so many game crashes the system will give you a message saying the game is corrupt. You can go in and play a few rounds until the game will crash again and you will get that corrupt game message.
Only way to fix that message from showing up is to delete game and reinstall it with the patch. I know its a pain in the butt, but that is a temp fix. But my suggestion is to not do this until you start getting that Corrupt Game message. Each time your game crashes just come in and report it and what exactly you have experienced. It would also help if you post what you were exaclty doing in the game that causes the game freeze.
Remember guys this is a Beta and there will be alot of issues till the actual game is released..........just wait till open Beta and more people are playing, there will be even more issues. |
